what are the themes at those 3 places?

Ghetto is the first thing that comes to my mind
Here is the current tally as of Friday morning as best I can tell....

Definite Against - 22
Definite For - 2
Split - 2
Unable to tell which way person voted! - 5

Looks like against the "de-theming" is still the majority by far....

With a bit of comment.....

I agree, the original themes were put in to bring the families with kids into town. This was a bad idea. Vegas is an adult venue in my honest opinion. With that being said, the adult themes of the properties, with adults in mind is still good. I like going to Vegas to see different themes. The same steel and glass properties everywhere on the strip would be very boring. Keep the themes. If you can be in the South Pacific one moment and in Rome the next and Paris the next, that is good. One thing that started me thinking about asking this question originally is that Caesar's Palace was changing one of their towers to Japanese! What does Japanese and Rome have to do with each other?

DonDiego awaits the announcement of the planned "Aryan Wing" at Caesars.

(DonDiego suspects the reader did NAZI this coming.)
I'm against it too

Good ol game of axis and allies. So easy to win with axis.Control africa and asia within 2 rounds, sit back and gain more strenght, game over in a few more rounds. Makes one wonder how world would be now?
Put me down as against! Ever since Treasure Island went generic, I have boycotted them I hate the sterile chrome and white decor and won't waste my time on the "show" out front anymore. k
Oh yea, absolutely against. When i was there last, city center was a few months from opening ,and it was just another steel and glass abomination on the strip. The themes are what make vegas so unique.

Tell me more about this de themeing (sp). Have not heard anything about it. Whose idea was it and who is pushing it? Sounds like a really bad idea to me on the face of it.
I'm against also. Without Vegas theming, I wouldn't have nearly as many moments to remember. Such as...on one of my first trips, I walked into Boardwalk one morning, and asked what time the rollercoaster opened! Boy did I feel stupid.
AGAINST!!! Don't forget that the theming began before Wynn hit the strip and built to attract families. The original theming WAS for adults, including Circus Circus, which had adult themed games and attractions including the pathetic "kick the elephant in the balls" attraction. Jay Sarno built both CC and CP for adults, not kids, according to several LV history accounts I have read. And, of course, we know that Wynn later made a 180 when he built Bellagio which had a 14-yr-old age limit then a stroller ban. What I really miss are the neon and sparkly lights which are being replaced with up lighting and LED signs. I'll be really sad if the Flamingo's and Riviera's lights go dark.
