For or Against the De-Theme-ing of Vegas

The original theming WAS for adults, including Circus Circus, which had adult themed games and attractions including the pathetic "kick the elephant in the balls" attraction.
Umm, . . . DonDiego is straining his brain but persistently unable to conjure a winning scenario for a game titled: "kick the elephant in the balls".
Can vpwannabe provide additional details ?

n.b.DonDiego is most unlikely to have participated in a game with such a moniker, and he would absolutely not have done so if an actual pachyderm were involved. He is just curious. If an actual pachyderm was involved, DonDiego really does not want any details.

DD would have a rough time locating where said balls are. Elephants have everything inside their bodies. I don't know why, I didn't build 'em, but it is so. The only round thingys near an elephant you can see is the poo. (or coconuts as I called them when I was just a 10 year old lad)

Brought to you by the letter E for elephant
I actually think it is going to work out very well.
I originally did not car for it; but Wynn did do a nice job of Wynn and Encore.
Since then I hated seeing City Center go up; BUT then I just stayed at Cosmo and found it a fun, nice hotel.

My theory (which will be totally wrong, I'm sure) is that since the last few hotels have been "de-themed" the next big one to go up - the owner may think that a themed casino will be the thing to build to get some publicity and to fill the place.

The question is what theme will be mature enough for Vegas - yet fun also.

I always thought that a European theme (paris excluded), like Epcot at Disney World, could work very well.
Restaurants would be easy to imagine (swiss, Italian, British - well fish and chips and mushy peas, french, Spanish)...Bars and Beer are easy

Rooms - I have a cool idea here, that they have a couple floors like a dorm rooms where a few rooms share big bathrooms (love those scenes in European Vacation) - rooms can be super cheap etc

Can go one and on - but I do think the "next big one" the owner may think a return to theme would work.

against de-themeing. Going from themed casino to themed casino was fun. Once we have seen the new elegant casinos, we head over to casino royale, o'sheas and slots o fun for some gambling fun.

what are the themes at those 3 places?

beer.

I actually read this in one of the many LV history books I've acquired thru the LVA. Don't know how or why they would do this either but it was cited as one of the many distasteful ideas drummed up by Sarno when CC was first opened.
Against.
I like themes.
Liked Treasure Island, Harrah's when it was the riverboat, Dunes with the Sultan, Aladdin (Arabian themed version with the lamp up top). Loved the Silver Slipper, Riviera, Ho, and Stardust, even Excal. I'm fine with Wynn and Encore, Bellagio.

But Aria and Cosmo...not Vegasy at all. More like Seattle.

Against...
Love the themes!
Don Diego:

DFWGambler believes that some pictures (the lady in pink) needs to stay in Vegas, it did happen in Vegas?

DFWGamber likes the return of the adult themed Las Vegas. The attempt to make it a family destination was ill advised.

DFWgambler also likes the trend where poker rooms are now available in many places.

Against. The themes are fun and enable you to tell one casino from another.
Here is the current tally as of Saturday March 19th as best I can tell....

Definite Against - 30
Definite For - 4
Split - 2
Unable to tell which way person voted! - 6

Looks like against the "de-theming" is still the majority by far....
