For those prepared to flee the country if DT wins

For most Americans, its not that easy to get permanent residence. How ironic is it that Canada will grant refugee status to Central Americans living in America but not Americans themselves.
As a point of information- Anyone who has a Grandparent born in ireland can obtain an Irish passport, and holders of Irish passports go to the head of the line, bypassing the great unwashed holders of American passports.

I've already stated my plans, which don't include fleeing the country I love and whose teat I have sucked on my entire life.
Alright! My wife qualifies. Can she take me with her?
Maybe Trump can see to it that there is a national "Going Away" party.
Thats a good idea. The lemmings can see their future going away and rejoice.

Cape Breton???

While it is a quaint, pretty place and worth a visit it would never be my choice as a place to live.

While not because of any particular political candidate, I am always prepared to flee the country, yet not give up my U.S. citizenship.
It is actually quite easy to get residency in many countries as a U.S. citizen. My immediate family has Residency in Mexico for 6 months concurrently and 9 months in aggregate per year. U.S. citizens can even directly own property outside of restricted zones. You can own through a trust in restricted areas.
My wife has residency in Costa Rica and Ecuador where she owns some property. I'm too cheap to apply for residency in these countries since we rarely visit and only for a short time so it's not needed.

You can expatriate yourself just about anywhere on the globe. I would recommend somewhere warm and relatively inexpensive.
Belize would be my first choice, followed by Panama. New Mexico would be third. Last time I was in Ecuador, I was surprised how expensive it had gotten. It's still cheap, but not dirt cheap like it was when they used the Sucre.
I think I could handle Halifax for four years if needed.
It's easy to be an expat, as long as you keep your citizenship. Not so easy if you renounce it.
Havana, anyone?
If Donald Trump becomes president, Mitt Romney says he's going to run off and join a cult. Oh wait...too late!
Romney's speech today would be more effective had he not fawned over DT when the Donald endorsed him in 2012.
You know Republicans are desperate when they resort to having MITT ROMNEY question someone's hidden tax returns..

DonDiego lived in the second largest city in New Mexico for over a decade; it doesn't even require a passport. In fact, there's no need to even identify oneself at the border.
