Forgetting Your Tito

Very nice article.

I may be the prize winner, though. (And my apologies to those of you who have read this story before.)

Years ago I took a bus trip to Tunica, I think to the Grand (gone now). The trip included a coupon for a buffet. I played some quarter VP and hit a Royal flush, which of course did not require a W2-G. I kept playing, doing pretty well. I started thinking about lunch and told myself I'd cash out and go eat when I got 'down' to the $1000 point.

When things turned and I indeed got "down" to that $1K point I gathered my purse, pawed through it for the buffet coupon, got up and rode the up escalator, was walking toward the buffet when...gasp...I realized I had not cashed out the $1K! Yikes! I felt like I was having a heart attack. I spun around and literally leaped DOWN the UP escalator, with no hope it would still be there. Lucky for me it WAS still there. Really stupid of me. What an idiot, a thousand dollars!

I didn't even think it would be possible to get it back if someone had taken it. Thanks for everyone's stories.
Thanks for all the great stories and nice comments!
Blonde, if you don't mind me asking, what does VegasBright pay? I know that's a touchy issue so if you'd prefer to email or PM with a range that's cool. Thanks.
Sometimes stuff happens on table games too. I was flying to Las Vegas once a month while the French Roulette table was on the floor at the Paris Las Vegas. The croupiers and the French Roulette table dedicated pit bosses (it was a "high roller" table that had its own pit boss) knew me by name, and after a few visits, the croupiers remembered the numbers and combos that I bet when playing roulette. They could place my bets for me without asking what I wanted when I first sat down, and they'd usually get it right on the first spin. The croupiers placed bets for all players at that table, but most players had to inform them of the bets they wanted. One night playing at that table...$5 straight up on zero was ALWAYS one of the bets I made in my regular betting pattern. On one spin, the ball landed on zero. The croupier hadn't placed one of my $5 jetons on the zero for that spin. I saw that, and told the croupier that I always bet on zero. He knew me and my betting pattern, and he said I was right - there should have been one of my $5 jetons on zero for that spin. He told the pit boss that I always bet on zero and they forgot to place that bet for me on that spin. The pit boss looked at me (he knew me too), looked at the table layout, then he told the croupier to place one of my $5 jetons on the zero and pay me for the winning bet!

I cannot top those TITO stories. No way. (Thanks for your story,Bob)
I have been reminded to take your card and your TITO slip OUT OF THE MACHINE when you take a bathroom break. Especially from a bar top. Sure. Protect your self. Well, you can leave your card in and cover
the VP screen with a bar napkin. Just take your TITO with you.
One learns from ones mistakes. You never know who is/was sitting next to you.

Nothing.
I just do it for the love of writing and the love of Vegas.

My TITO problem is with my wife. I've learned to always ask if she has cashed out when we head back to the room. Too many stops on the way to the airport to cash them out!
I have walked out of a casino with over $1,000 in chips only once. I mailed 'em back for a check in the mail.

The last MSS session, when I won a LOT of money playin' craps,I did it again.
I'll take 'em back in March. ($225)The casino is still there.
They were in my back pocket.
I toss some of my TITO tickets on the street(littering).
