Very nice article.
I may be the prize winner, though. (And my apologies to those of you who have read this story before.)
Years ago I took a bus trip to Tunica, I think to the Grand (gone now). The trip included a coupon for a buffet. I played some quarter VP and hit a Royal flush, which of course did not require a W2-G. I kept playing, doing pretty well. I started thinking about lunch and told myself I'd cash out and go eat when I got 'down' to the $1000 point.
When things turned and I indeed got "down" to that $1K point I gathered my purse, pawed through it for the buffet coupon, got up and rode the up escalator, was walking toward the buffet when...gasp...I realized I had not cashed out the $1K! Yikes! I felt like I was having a heart attack. I spun around and literally leaped DOWN the UP escalator, with no hope it would still be there. Lucky for me it WAS still there. Really stupid of me. What an idiot, a thousand dollars!
I didn't even think it would be possible to get it back if someone had taken it. Thanks for everyone's stories.
