Former Republican Speaker of the House Hastert Indicted

Boiler and virtually all Conservatives on this site argue that gays should have full rights, but not more rights than you and I. I challenge Chilly to post otherwise.

Yes, some pedophiles have been Republicans. But that's it.

What the party does have is a tendency to attack gays and lesbians. To do everything they can to exclude them from society, to treat them as inferior people. Americans don't like that stuff anymore.

How else to explain the careers of:
Rick Santorum
Pat Buchanan
Mike Huckabee
Pat Robertson
Bob Smith
Gary Bauer
Michele Bachmann

All they stand for is saying "Those people over there? The ones that give us the creeps (but somehow also make us tingle at night)? They aren't good enough to be considered Americans."

And so it really screws with Republicans' heads when the truth about a closeted Republican is revealed.
Mark Foley.
Larry Craig.
Ted Haggard.
David Dreier.
Linsdey Graham.

And now, it would seem, Dennis Hastert.

No one smart would ever bother debating someone so ignorant of which American political party has spent the
past few decades loudly and vigorously trying to deny gays and lesbians the same rights as heterosexuals to:

* openly serve in our armed forces;
* teach children in school;
* adopt children;
* care for foster children;
* donate blood;
* marry the person they love; and
* be warmly accepted as decent, law-abiding members of American society.

Nor would I.
Did Hastert and the Republican party management cover up for Foley or not?
Did Hastert and the Republican party management continue allow Foley access to teenagers for two years after they were aware of Foley's misconduct?
Did Hastert and the Republican party management pressure the AP and ABC not to cover Hastert's own problem with children?

Does currently sitting Congressman Trent Franks think Hastert is a stand up top notch guy?
Have any conservative media and fellow Republican's pushed the idea that Hastert is the real victim in all of this?

WOW, chill posts yet [ianother meaningful post, I'm impressed.

Mal, you are reaching so hard and you want to believe so badly what you say is true. I'm sorry, it just ain't so and no matter what else you say or dig up, I'm certain someone could dig up something equally damaging(not me,don't care that much).

Again, apparently you are going to believe what you believe no matter what other things are presented. More power to ya Mal.
Those who "walk the walk" and stick to their religious beliefs I give props to. Although there are folks out there (Jimmy Swaggert, Jim Baker, and Al Sharpton to name a few) who act like they live the life and yet don't deserve to rot in hell.

The muslim faith believes that homosexuals should be killed. So much for that tolerance thingy eh?

I really could care less what homosexuals do in the privacy of their own homes. They have rights like anyone else and once it gets to the Supreme Court, that question will be answered. The separate but equal stuff didn't work before and won't now.

This isn't about gay sex. This is about child rape.

This isn't about consensual sex between adults. This is about a grown man who raped children, then spent millions buying the silence of at least one of his victims.

Basically, the Republican Members of the House of Representatives unwittingly elected Jerry Sandusky to be their speaker.

Don't make this about gay rights. That just makes you look like chefantwon.
