Forum Search

Any time I try to do a search on the FFA forum I get this error:

Sorry, an error occurred while performing your search.

Error Code: 109

No matter what I search for I get the error. there a software problem or are only paid sections of the forums allowed to search.

I am not a paid member, I used to be before becoming disabled, So I was wondering if there is a software problem or are only paid sections of the forums allowed to search.
The Search function doesn't work, hasn't for a long time. They are aware.
Funny I entered NFL in the search category tab and had several results. I did not do an advanced search though.
The broken search function was a running joke back when David Matthews was the moderator. That's like 10 years ago.

Oh...and to search the Free-For-All, I use google. I include lasvegasadvisor.com forum in the search...

Returns lots of good results.

you can just search the site in google. So if you were looking for "Ellis Island" you would type this in Google....

Ellis Island site:lasvegasadvisor.com
The Search feature here is hit or miss at best.
"Black jack" got only 5 hits. They were all in the title of the post, not in the body of the post.
My lame "Sliders" one is still in there. No responses because my link didn't work.
Should have been removed LONG ago. I edited it,but the title is still there.

Try NFL,"Game",SLOTS or some political subject.

Bing is my go-to search engine. We are just spoiled, that's all.
My other forum's search features are just as lame.

Try one of your other browsers. I have 3 for a back up.Chrome,Opera and IE 11 and Edge.
It may be your settings.
Thank you.

If you know which Forum, such as Dining or Las Vegas or Entertainment, and the author of a post you are searching for, you might get lucky and have some come up. Otherwise, it is pretty worthless.

I used that method to search for my own threads, and only found one. And you have to click on each post to read them. But it was pretty good stuff.
