Forums not as busy as in past

I didn't renew my LVA last year but decided to for this year and was surprised that there appears to be a lot less posting in the forums. Are there fewer post worthy events going on in Vegas, fewer deals or fewer members? Sad I always enjoyed the info the forums provided related to shows, restaurants (I do see the restaurant reviews are still present) and gambling deals.
Don't worry. The first guy to say he's going to run for president will make his announcement tomorrow. Then we'll be off and running.

Yeah, the boards have gone downhill, primarily for two reasons -- forkush and chilcoot.

Throw in marcisdave and you’ve got 2½ reasons.

Glad you came back!

The FFA forum gets the most action.
On the paid side, some days there are just dribs and drabs as compared to years ago.
Questions about this or that comp or that casino company.
Always some good Trip Reports, though. I think it is only recently (last couple of years?) that people started posting Trip Reports on the FFA, which is a good thing.

As said, still some good food and show reviews (though look to the TRs for more)

All in all, still good stuff IMO.

The so-called golden days...well.

True enough, there were the fair-haired kids, lots of cloying praise about anything they wrote.
They could post the alphabet and generate 20-30 "so wonderful" replies.
But they generated a lot of fun reading, too, and some friendships that still stand without LVA as the glue.

(Can you tell I was never in the fair-haired clique? LOL)

Some of them left for various reasons (life changes, somebody pissed them off, needed distance from gambling environs, etc.).

Others caved into bullying by one or more of the fair-haired, who could always count on their admirers to pile on.

What drove many away was the glacial slowness of page loading for a long time. I guess that is better now (or is it better because I got a new computer?).

Fair hair is vastly overrated.

Then again, at my age, any hair is appreciated. Well, I mean, on my head at least.

By hosting travel forums that are NOT mobile friendly, I think LVA is making a play for the 70-90 year old demographic.

I am sure that you will find many of your ilk there who would enjoy your ultra liberal claptrap. I am also sure that the 70-90 old demographic would not miss you in the least. I know I won't - and I am not one of the 70-90 demographic.

No worries. Your lovely black turban (or is it a ball cap?) covers you up nicely.

Wow, I don't know how long I've seen that cat (years?) but I never noticed the head covering. It's quite fancy.

I used to check this place out every day.

Now it's just dull. I take a peek every week or so.
