1. Calling President Elect Trump a 'Practicing Racist' because a Racist crackpot claims to support him is like calling President Obama a 'Practicing Endorser of Cop Killers' because a Cop Killer claims to support him.

The idea of shutting down political groups/news organizations/propagandists with which a politician disagrees is nothing new. In fact, it is inevitably an early step in the process by which tyrannical leaders take over a country's government, . . . especially since the invention of the printing press and most especially throughout the 20th century.

Trump has a history of discriminating against black people in refusing to rent property to black people.
He is a racist. End of discussion.

It's difficult to punish people guilty of libel when they are not within the United States' jurisdiction - like much of the political fake news that has infiltrated Social Media sites.

Constitutional protections of free speech and journalism do not extend to Russian operatives fabricating false stories to play in our political discourse and elections. That's a fact. So it's just a matter of how much should our government tolerate it.

Hillary has declared war on this fake news and journalism. Donald Trump has declared war on real news and journalism. And we can see where DonDiego stands

Is there really a difference between the two, "real" and "fake" news?

Once again, . . . nothing new.

DonDiego suggests pjstroh investigate the occurrence of "fake news" and "fake allegations" and even " grossly excessive insults" throughout the history of US elections, . . . and even foreign influences, think, f'rinstance, German and American Nazis in the 1930's.

Much as poor old DonDiego would prefer a nice, clean, reasonable discussion of the issues free of false narratives and foreign influence and personal assaults, . . . and any foreign influence, . . . the World doesn't work that way. In fact, it has never worked that way.

So the choices are:
i. the rough-and-tumble wide-open discussions and arguments and occasional thoughtful cogitations addressing domestic and foreign policies of issues as presented by whoever wishes to in support of or opposition to those competing for the Office of the President of the United States and disseminated by a "free-press" (to include electronic communications)" and of which some of it is true and some of it is false and some of much of it is true/false propaganda
or
ii. a competition carefully controlled by an Ever-Benevolent Government which decides what information (true/false/unknown) and from which sources (domestic/foreign/extra-planetary) any information is permitted to be disseminated by those whom the Ever-Benevolent Government approves.

DonDiego prefers option i. Somehow the American people manage to work their way through the morass of all the information, and more than occasionally make the right choice.

Oh and by the way, poor old DonDiego is always suspicious of anyone who declares war on fake news/real news/fake allegations/real allegations/fake journalism/real journalism. Somehow he opines they've got their own interests in mind.

DonDiego suggests everyone try their best to just get along with one another, . . .
