Note they aren't located at the Rental Car Facility with all the other companies. Requires a special shuttle to get there. I've always avoided them....too many bad reviews, too much wasted Vegas time.

Worst experience ever!!!...

To start you take a shuttle to get the other shuttle......enough said. But if that were not bad enough, they bait you in with low rates only to jack up the rate charge service fees for just about everything under the sun...

I travel every week for work. I have rented hundreds of cars. My rental with Fox rentacar was by far the worst experience I have ever had.

Hated experience w/ fox rental car!

Blech! I thought I'd save us some cash on the cheap Fox Rental car and I only ended up wasting 1 hour of my life.

HORRIBLE It took me 2 hours to leave the lot. Was charged extra day after I checked out.

Never again Like others have written, we were not aware that we had to take a SECOND shuttle from the McCarran car rental terminal to get to Fox's "office."

Horrible, will never ever go there again

Which car rental places are actually located in the airport by baggage claim?

None. All of the major rental car places are located at the Rental Car Facility. You get on a bus at Baggage claim. It's about a 5 minute ride and the busses run continuously.

I've found Alamo ususally has the best rates. If you're a Costco Member (and even if you aren't) you can get some decent discount codes that will save you some $. There's also some discounts coupons in the ACG.

Would like to add that both times I used Fox Rental's services, the car I initially received was flawed. In October the door opener/locker thing didn't work. Last month I drove about 100 feet before a flashing red light came on, alerting me to the fact that the airbag needed servicing (?). The good news was that when they saw they were dealing with a crazy lady who'd dragged several pieces of HEAVY luggage - my stays are always for a least 2 weeks - on Two - count em - Two shuttles and then waited forever in line after the long flight from Cleveland.....well, I think I scared them with the ferocity of my dismay. They upgraded me big time with replacement vehicles.

AND the wait for their shuttle to arrive back to their facility for my flight home was 37 minutes and I grew very nervous about catching my plane.

I will henceforth play with the big guys.

I guess I have been lucky.
I have used them 3 times without issue and got the car for 1/2 the price of the best deal I could find anywhere else..including priceline.

The second shuttle thing takes an extra 15 min ride, but I travel light so luggage is not an issue.

Tried them once and never ever will again. Waited in line for over an HOUR!!! They tried to sell each customer everything in the book. It was as if they were using scare tactics with the non US tourists. Started with the 'wouldn't you like to drive a mustang convertable?' I said sure, if you want to give it to me for the same price, needless to say we drove a bright yellow chevy 4 door beat up compact car. It was the most beat up car we've ever rented. We also told them to use the scare tactics somewhere else. Walked out into the lot, and the attendent pointed to two cars, 'That one, or that one. Keys are in the car' Absolutely terrible experience. On a good note, we could always find our car. Never had to guess where we were parked.

Unless I'm finding outrageously high prices at other companies I try to avoid Fox like the plague. Its a hassle to get to and from and the lines are usually too long and their car selection usually sucks. I'd do it to save $75+ otherwise it isnt worth the wasted time and hassle.
