According to the stories I've heard FOX will also allow you to waive their insurance HOWEVER you must show proof that you are indeed covered via some other source. Since most people aren't in the habit of carrying around a copy of their auto insurance or credit card agreement they are forced to purchase the FOX Rental insurance...and suddenly their discounted rates aren't so discounted after all.
Before renting with them I would read the fine print and make sure you will be in a position to avoid their insurance.
I rented from them in December. Had no problem with insurance hassles. They had limted selection of cars, I wanted to rent a Ford Fusion all they had were mustangs which were out of my price range and KIA's. They were short staffed, and to get there you had to catch a shuttle to the rental car center and then another shuttle to the Fox location. The staff friendly and easy to deal with. If saving a few dollars is worth more than convience and a little time then Fox is alright. If you are in a hurry or want a great selection and fast service try another company.
