I get that email all the time and I don't open it as I don't even have a Chase account.

I bet you it's coming from MoneyLA as I heard that he is official spokesperson for them.

ZOMG! Well I was shocked and was like WTH?

That email is always in my inbox. Who would be stupid enough to click links from a bank email. If they are dumb enough to click a link in an email then they should lose their money.

Not everyone is computer/Internet savvy. I can see this happening to someone who didn't know better.
To call them dumb and say they should lose their money is not nice.
treegirl I agree with you 100% the board is to post information about anything that anyone feels is important to pass on to other members. No need to use the terms stupid, dumb or they hould lose their money. Sometimes what is easy for some is difficult for others.
Thank you.
I get annoyed with "techys" who think because they know computers, everyone should.
I remember a local store that sold a computer to this woman, had her pick an e-mail addy right then so they could send her info on sales, etc.
They sent her e-mails from many known large companies until she responded with all of her info.

Did she deserve this?

*edited to say:
It was 2 employees that did this, not the store.
I have received phishing emails before. I've been tempted to fill in "First Name: F*ck", "Last Name: You", but I'm worried that they would then target me for more shenanigans.
If you post those phishing e-mails on 3 different forums in the next 5-minutes will you receive good fortune on your next visit to Las Vegas???
I am no longer worried about phishing emails, whatever they are, since I will soon be receiving $392,870,000 from the widow with a terminal disease who selected me to do good things with her money.

Ha!
