I'm glad someone is looking out for guys like me who can't tell 24 horses from 26. Truth, justice, and the American way, BayBee!!
Thanks - this is a quick $35 in my pocket. We purchased our mower on 04/09/10 - just 3 days before the deadline.

Thanks for the reminder....I got a card in the mail a few weeks ago and forgot all about it. I've actually had 2 in the last five years....but only have the record for the current one.
About a year a go I received a Class Action notice for a Stock I bought in 2001. Funny business at the company made claims the SEC didn't like, thus the class action suit. There were 8 pages of information I would have to fill out and file for my, get this, $12 payment to be sent to me!!!! I had lost about $100 on the stock, wrote it off my taxes in 2003 and now they wanted me to spend an hour (or more) filling out 8 pages of paperwork for $12. Reading deeper the suit allowed the lawyers to receive over 60 million.

Every one of the class action suits I have ever seen it is the lawyers that are compensated, the the original people who lost don't even get enough for their loss....I think class action suits are nothing but a way for lawyers to get REALLY RICH.

Cool! I love money.

It doesn't matter whether the money is burned after the wrong-doers pay. It's the fact that they have to pay that's important. If they KNOW they'll have to pay for bad deeds, they will spend the money AVOIDING bad deeds. That way they get GOOD publicity rather than BAD.

This case does seem a bit frivilous, though. Like I'm really upset that they fudged the HP numbers on my mower? C'mon! I only paid $100 for the thing at Walmart.

I wish someone would get a class action going against Dodge for faulty transmissions. Six transmissions in eight years in two separate cars is total bullshit.
Thanks. Sent it in on line today.
