And yet, you still hang out here and complain. I don't get it.

Just an FYI, there's a total of one (1) pol. topic on the front page, the glenn beck thread, which never even generated much conversation at all, and a few current events(ferguson and garner) and the rest is mostly chatter with a few vegas topics in there.

If this is the "toxic wasteland" some of you make it out to be, I'll take this anyday over discussing how much 6/5 bj sucks ad nauseum or what is your favorite show continuously. As mentioned, one can only talk about a certain subject so much. Now trip reports are cool. TR's bring something new to the table(usually) and we still get a smatttering of those, I'd like to see more. But there's more to life than that. Like it or not, this is a little community and people like to talk and I see a wide range of topics discussed here with a healthy dose of funny/sexy/interesting pics among other things. The hammer got put down here before and this place turned into a ghost town.

Geez people, it's just called conversing, does it get a little contentious sometimes? sure it does, but I think lately people have been on pretty good behavior. As mentioned, if a blatantly political thread bothers you, DON'T OPEN IT. Pretty simple.

It has been mentioned that I am not Chilcoot. Jatki99 may want to believe I am because he cannot handle that more than one person thinks he is dim. But if Chilcoot has said things to him with his own name, why would he suddenly need a second one to say the same things?

Political, sexual, etc. posts are fine with me.
What sucks is when they get hijacked with personal attacks by name, the childish the "you are Chil" "you are Singer", etc.

Post your beliefs, debate your points, copy and paste your charts and stats, but stop the stupid name calling,the "liberal" "conservative" labels which morph into a complete takeover of discussion and nobody else can make a reasoned response.

The "you are Singer", "you are Chil" "there goes so and so with his lies" is pure kindergarten and plain stupid, distracting, ridiculous and doesn't make the person doing so look any smarter.

We say "if you don't like the topic don't click on it." True. But I may like the topic, may want to read facts, opinions, links to something, etc.

But this is like trying to read a magazine, getting interested in an article when all of a sudden somebody has torn out pages. You just give up trying to continue because you know it will never revert back to legitimate discussion.
