ddd228, You have nailed it! You can read non -Vegas posts during the challenge but can not post. I will extend the limitations to Pahrump gambling..lol.

So far in 2015,I have been on target.

Boiler, Like I said above, I am hoping to stir up more Vegas threads. That isn't a bad thing is it? I have already failed at my own challenge since I have been posting in football related threads. i should have thought about the playoffs and college bowl games.

More Vegas threads is a good thing.

I almost slipped up with the "Sweater melons" post and I think I weaseled out of posting a non-'Vegas post,by at least posting
that I did miss the Ugly Sweater Run in Las Vegas.

Now then,let's discuss the latest BJ minimums in 'Vegas:

The minimum bets are usually 5 bucks,downtown with a 3:2 pay off for a natural 21.

Some tables within the downtown casinos DO have the 6:5 BS,so watch out!

Dealers hit soft 17? That's another casino edge.

THAT'S WHY WE ALL HIT SOFT 17! Maybe even double down. Duh.

Just look at the table rules and minimums B-4 you plant your ass down and order a drink.

MOST of the BJ players are not very good players,anyway.

We are, and that is why the casinos try to fool us into playing a table that has restrictive rules.

The "Sheep" just don't know the fine points.

It's about protecting the bottom line because WE go there to gamble.

One more rule I have seen:

You are not allowed to sit in on a BJ game until the shoe has ended.

Again,protecting themselves from the counters that want to jump in when the count goes....+.

MANY more weird rules goes on inside the strip casinos.

One restrictive rule for me is $25 minimums,6-8 decks and none of the decent rules,like downtown.

Unless I have a pocket full of Franklins and am very drunk, will I play that game.
