There is a website called Gofobo.com that posts screenings of movies before they are released. You have to create an account (I've never been spammed just asked to give my opinion of the movie) and search by zip code.
The downside is that most of the time they require a RSVP code from a "partner" such as a radio station that is running a promotion. I haven't been able to find a source for the RSVP codes.
But they also have open free screenings. I've seen five movies this year for free about a month before they are released to the general public.
The last was the Way, Way Back which I really enjoyed. I've also gotten promotional trinkets and trash at the showings.
Of course the free open showings are first come, first served so I have been shut out of a couple of movies when traffic prevented me from showing up early enough.
If you like movies and can waste half hour waiting to be let in, check it out.
Oh, and if you have a way to find out the RSVP codes, I'd really appreciate you sharing.
