Southpoint free room
Thanks. I get regular mailings from them but another night never hurts. SP is slowly becoming my go to casino.
I love Southpoint.

Good but reasonably priced restaurants.
Good sports book
Rooms are big.
One of my favorite bands, Yellow Brick Road, used to always perform there on Friday nights.
It is a great place for horse people with its facilities and its arena
Thanks for posting. We like Southpoint for the rooms and (pool for Connie, gambling for me) but their buffet and coffee shop have been pretty abysmal lately. The Deli is good, as is the Italian restaurant.

Thanks!!

I love their oyster bar, Primarily Prime Rib, and their steak house. I'd like to try their formal restaurant in the future.

I also have been to the theater once and enjoyed it.

We've eaten at the seafood bar a few times and always found it really good(good value as well). Never stayed there, but I love the casino and wouldn't mind setting up camp there for a few nights to check it out.
Big fan of Southpoint. And it's pretty easy to get room comps there, so if you have any reasonable rate of play I wouldn't stress about not having the comp upfront.
My only complaint is the walk from either the garage or valet to the rooms, especially if you get stuck at the far end of a hall.
Thank you Liondownnow.

The room is free with no resort fee (last year), but if you fail to show up you get charged $100. Last year for one of our nights I really didn't feel like going and besides the weather was lousy. I called to say I felt it was dangerous to drive and they agreed to waived the fee. I suspect they would have accepted most any excuse, but I don't know. Two years ago we had no trouble booking consecutive nights, but I did it with two phone calls.

Steak 'n Shake has happy hour 2-5 PM and AM. Two-for-one specialty shakes for us non-imbibers. And including the slot club, NSU is barely over 100% 24/7.
