Fremont Street

Thinking about taking the better half down there this trip, he hasn't been there yet. I haven't been there for a few years my self. I was wondering do they still have the buses that take you there from the strip and would any one know thw cost. I wouldnt mind taking a taxi back but want to avoid it both ways if I can.

$9.00 for an all day pass for the Duce. You catch it up the street (towards El-Cortez).

Actually Tony a 24 hour pass is 7 bucks. There is actaully two buses that you can take one is the Duece bus and the other is the Ace Gold line bus but it only stops at certain casino's on the strip. The Gold line bus going back to the strip picks you up by the Fremont.

IF you're 55 or older, take the time to go to the terminal and apply for the Reduced Fare I.D. Card. It's free, and valid for 5 years. 3 day passes were $7.50 my last trip. You can buy the passes at "vending machines" locate at various bus stops, so the only inconvenience is going down and getting the ID and picture during "normal" business hours. Definitely worth the effort. IMO

On a side note, I've used my Las Vegas fare card in Florida, where the age is supposed to be 65, and it's been accepted!

Well, I second Road's suggestion about the Reducted Fare ID, but, my memory was that it had a 60 year old requirement instead of the 55, but my memory may be going! I think the Bonneville terminal is the only place to get one now. We got ours at the DTC when it was open and it literally took like 3 minutes to get it handed to us.

At which point they need to recheck your age to see if you're still a senior.
