From Russia With Love: Trump’s Secret Server

Apparently, Trump had a dedicated server set-up in Trump Tower to communicate directly with a Russian bank and he regularly communicated with the Bank. (Alfa Bank). The communications spiked around political events such as the conventions.

You can read all the technical details about this at the link. Golly, I wonder why the Trumpster needs a dedicated connection to a Russian Bank?

As FBI Director Comey might say, we "cannot yet assess whether or not this material may be significant." You know, just like the latest Hillary email stuff.

But if this was set up as a covert communication channel, it was a completely Keystone Cops implementation. For secret server-to-server communication servers would address each other by IP address and not use relatively public DNS lookups. In other words, you can type lasvegasadvisor.com into your address bar which creates a DNS lookup, or you can paste in 64.235.51.140 which, if you were acting nefariously, would be the way to go. So color me skeptical on this.

Of course the Trump Organization's email servers are running on Windows Server 2003, which is no longer supported by Microsoft and is a clear security risk. So maybe both Mr. Trump and Secretary Clinton should take an IT security class at the local junior college.

They focused particular attention on what cyberexperts said appeared to be a mysterious computer back channel between the Trump Organization and the Alfa Bank, which is one of Russia’s biggest banks and whose owners have longstanding ties to Mr. Putin.

F.B.I. officials spent weeks examining computer data showing an odd stream of activity to a Trump Organization server and Alfa Bank. Computer logs obtained by The New York Times show that two servers at Alfa Bank sent more than 2,700 “look-up” messages — a first step for one system’s computers to talk to another — to a Trump-connected server beginning in the spring. But the F.B.I. ultimately concluded that there could be an innocuous explanation, like a marketing email or spam, for the computer contacts."

Perhaps you can point to a few examples of me supporting any posts falsely "accusing people of ties with radical Islam, the Muslim Brotherhood, or Sharia Law". Or better yet, any post I ever made that accuses people of ties to radical Islam, the Muslim Brotherhood or Sharia Law.

I am certainly not anti-Muslim. But I do understand the dangers of radical political Islam. But if you can find any reference I've ever made falsely accusing individuals of ties to Radical Islam, by all means cite them...and I'll apologize for it.
