Neo-McCarthyites

"But in one of the most startling turnabouts in a campaign filled with role reversals, it is now the Democrats brandishing fear of Moscow as a club.” Some of them seem quite proud of this role reversal, notwithstanding the fact that they are mimicking and echoing many of the most shameful people and tactics of the 20th century."
But accusing people of ties with radical Islam, the Muslim Brotherhood, or Sharia Law? I don't recall you ever uttering a discouraging word about that stuff.

I guess that's because you're such a centrist.
Perhaps you can point to a few examples of me supporting any posts falsely "accusing people of ties with radical Islam, the Muslim Brotherhood, or Sharia Law". Or better yet, any post I ever made that accuses people of ties to radical Islam, the Muslim Brotherhood or Sharia Law...
  • When people point out the obvious connections between the Trump campaign and Putin, from you: McCarthyism!.
  • What a liar you are. This thread is the only time I've every associated these Democratic Smears with McCarthyism. Because as you admit yourself, this server issue is by no means an obvious connection between the Trump campaign and Putin. I just ran across the reasoned, detailed and well documented article I linked above....that shows 15 examples of the new Democrat 'Red Scare'.

How do you respond to those examples? I guess your only response is "It's ok. Because the Republicans try to associate democrats with radical Islam". No it's not ok. And when I ask you for an example of any time I have ever demonized someone because of their association with Islam....Crickets. I'll bet we can find lots of examples of you not responding to some whacko anti-islam comment here. I guess that makes you a hypocrite and secretly in support of those views, eh?

    Someone's smoking something alright!

That Secret Trump-Russia E-Mail Server is likely neither Secret Nor a Trump-Russia Link

Third party hosted server for outgoing e-mail marketing to hospitality industry.

You are such a F'n hack it's laughable. You deny, spin and twist ALL the evidence/proof that link the hill to such corruption/criminal acitivity from perjury to intentional destruction of evidence under subpoena, and you tout "OBVIOUS Trump/Putin" connections. Based on what!? Some lefty media sources?

I swear, your crap gets more laughable and more transparent every day forky.
The entire Russian angle is absolutely nothing more than a distraction. Hell, I'd want to try and shift the attention away from me also if were the hill, especially the daily mail dumps and Comeys latest stance.

Next will be a "funny picture" photo shopped to show Putin and Trump kissing. The Liberal playbook is built to sway stupid people.

Seems like PT Barnum was being pessimistic.

Maybe you heard about it. It was in all the papers.

Mr. Manafort owned several international businesses. He worked in Ukraine as a consultant. His employer, the then ruling party of Ukraine, was deposed in 2012; thus, his employment was terminated.
There are suspicions that the US State department was behind the coup which removed Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych, terminating Mr. Manafort's employment. In any case, ultimately his removal led to the Russian intrusions into Ukraine. [DonDiego leaves the reader to investigate these matters himself.]

    Excerpts from forkushV's source,

    *****quote*****
On a leafy side street off Independence Square in Kiev is an office used for years by Donald J. Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, when he consulted for Ukraine’s ruling political party.

Mr. Manafort did not respond to interview requests or written questions from The New York Times. But his lawyer, Richard A. Hibey, said Mr. Manafort had not received “any such cash payments” described by the anti-corruption officials.

Mr. Hibey also disputed Mr. Kasko’s suggestion that Mr. Manafort might have countenanced corruption or been involved with people who took part in illegal activities.

“These are suspicions, and probably heavily politically tinged ones,” said Mr. Hibey, a member of the Washington law firm Miller & Chevalier. “It is difficult to respect any kind of allegation of the sort being made here to smear someone when there is no proof and we deny there ever could be such proof.”

“Paul Manafort is among those names on the list of so-called ‘black accounts of the Party of Regions,’ which the detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine are investigating,” the statement said. “We emphasize that the presence of P. Manafort’s name in the list does not mean that he actually got the money, because the signatures that appear in the column of recipients could belong to other people.”

I imagine it's for the same reason he neglected to mention the irony pointed out in the original article I linked.

"There are so many levels of irony to the Democrats’ reliance on this ugly tactic. To begin with, one presidential candidate who actually has significant, questionable ties to Russia is named . . . Hillary Clinton.

As The New York Times detailed in 2015, Hillary and her husband Bill were at the center of a deal that “gave the Russians control of one-fifth of all uranium production capacity in the United States.” Those responsible for engineering that deal gave millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation, which “were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors.” Hillary herself approved the deal as Secretary of State, while Bill personally “received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.”"

They called it irony. I call it hypocrisy.
Bloomberg provides the complete story of Mr. Trump's "private server" at Bloomberg

Bottom line: there is nothing secret nor nefarious going on.

Incidently, there is nothing wrong with a private citizen having/owning/using a private server. There is a lot wrong with the Secretary of State employing a private server with questionable security features for all her official correspondence.
