A number of years ago I played around making animated GIF's, including some that were designed to look as if they were kind of coming through the page. Below is one, remade for LVA from the original, which means it isn't quite as good quality as the first one was but you'll get the idea.
Hmmm... appears my color is a tiny bit off, which is odd since I took it right off this page. Oh well.
