Gameworks?

Hello,

Can someone please tell me what Gameworks is all about? I see that it is an 'arcade', but can you win anything? Is it all video game type stuff? Is it more for kids or could an Adult have fun with an all day pass too? Thanks!
All my info on Vegas arcades is sadly, a couple years old.

Gameworks Vegas is a great arcade. I think your question about "winning anything" is a reference to games that give tickets that can be redeemed for prizes. I think Gameworks had some of those (not sure). Most Hotel/casinos have an arcade, the ones that I know that have games with tickets and prizes are MGM and Excalibur. MGM arcade is small but cool, Excalibur is all ticket games but is nasty and like the whole property, it's sticky. The best casino arcade is Luxor, I love that place as much as Gameworks.
Most of the games at Gameworks are the virtual reality ones....
- you sit on a snowmobile and race through the wilderness
- you sit in an Indy Car and race around the track
- you hold a machine gun and waste the aliens

And they have the ticket games too if you dont mind spending $30 on ticket games in return for enough tickets to buy a pack of gum.

Personally I like the old school video games from the 80's/90's. I had alot more fun at the Pinball HOF than at Gameworks.
I second PHOF as the BEST! Sorry to say, though, that the Luxor arcade closed awhile ago. It was pretty darn schweet; I was sorry to see it go

Yup to PHOF, outstanding place, I forgot to put it on my list due to the lack of ticket games. If you have kids that want tickets the PHOF should not be on your list, if you love games and don't want a $30 pack of gum, PHOF is a must.

My last couple trips I didn't make it to Luxor, and I'm very disappointed to hear the arcade is gone. They used to have 18 pool tables set up like a mini golf course, each table was a different layout golf hole. It was awesome.
Gameworks = Chuck E Cheese's for adults (with booze)

I'm reading this thinking "wait, I've just heard about this place somewhere, where did I hear about this place?"

It was from your trip report still on page one, but missing the pics. Fix that. Great report btw, and I have to check this place out. Thanks.
