Gary Carter RIP

One of the truly great baseball HOF'ers. Seemed like the entire decade of the 80's the All Star game had Gary Carter catching for the NL and Carlton Fish catching for the AL.

I've never seen a picture of him without a smile on his face. Only 57. Sad.

Total class act and you are right about that smile. RIP
I never liked Gary Carter. He was glib and obnoxious in my eyes.

But I'd never for a second wish him the short life he was saddled with. He was perhaps the greatest Expo, even learning French to relate to the local fans. May he rest in peace.
Even though he played most of his career with the Expos, I'll always remember him as a NY Met.

RIP Gary
Gary Carter was a good ole man,
was pretty damn good hitter with a bat in his hand.

His play was always hard and gritty,
And in 86 he got them a title in New York City!

RIP
Well said pjstroh

He was a class act.
