As of 8:19PM EST FOX 32 reports prices as low as 53-cents-per-gallon the Beacon and Bridge Market in Houghton Lake.

If this is so, . . . and if it something other than a local phenomenon, and if it persists, . . . a lot of oil companies are going to fail and a lot of banks, . . . including some very big banks with very big exposure to petroleum-company-related-bonds, . . . are going to be in very serious trouble.

DonDiego counsels the reader to be careful what he wishes for.

I would think that the business is selling at less than cost, something that may not be legal. It also makes me wonder what they charge for a gallon of water in that store.

Milled, how much does it cost to drill a deep water well in the Gulf of Mexico? When you can answer that, you're 1/100th of the way to be able to speak intelligently on the concept of gouging.

Boilerman- apparently you have enjoyed bending over while the Arabs were screwing you at the gas pump - are you really that ignorant? They and the A-Hole middlemen who broker oil futures have screwed people worldwide with their inflated oil prices.

So you don't know how much it costs to drill a well. Can you then tell me how much money has been made by those trading oil futures in, let's say the past 5 years?

Michigan collects about 50 cents per gallon in federal and state taxes on every gallon of gasoline sold at the retail level. It looks like this business is giving away the gas, and may even be paying any tax shortfall that it isn't collecting from their customers, given that I've seen posts showing the selling price for regular gas at this store at under 50 cents per gallon. It looks like a Bernie Sanders business model!
