Less than 5% of the work force makes minimum wage and half of them are teenagers. Less than 2m adults make the minimum wage. So the minimum wage has nothing to do with a 50% growth in food stamp enrollees.
Another liberal myth bites the dust.
Hoops makes things up and tries to get away with it by not citing his fictional source. And the sun rises.
average age of minimum wage worker is 30
Of course the overwhelming majority of recipients are seniors, kids, and disabled vets that fought the wars Hoops advocated who also now are demagogued by Hoops for collecting food stamps. And plenty of active soldiers have families that collect food stamps. I dont consider aid to them and their families a metric by which to score points in a desperate argument over economics. The primary group that collects food stamps that could potentially be removed from the program are people who work for impoverished wages...the same group Hoops bogusly claims are all teenagers.
who gets food stamps
49% are kids under 18
16% are disabbled
9% are seniors
