getting more "play" for your bankroll???

In another thread, someone wrote this about different options for playing video poker: the essense was that playing multiple line VP that totals the amount of a single line play will give you more "coin in."

Is this necessarily true? will you get more "coin in" playing, for example, $25 on a single line machine, or 5 lines on a $1/coin level??
Coin-in is coin-in, no matter how many lines you play. It's the total amount of your bet that counts as coin-in, no matter how many hands you spread that bet over.
I am not sure which thread this is, but I would think what the poster meant was that they feel they would get more coin in before their money ran out.
Karen, I think that IS what they meant, now that I think back. Thanks. I think the point was that playing multi-line hands lowers the volatility of the game. This might allow you to hit more decent hands and, thus, keep playing longer.

Your bankroll will get more "play" at a lower denomination game than at a higher level game. Switching to the $1 5-line machine is the same as switching to a $1 machine. The 5-line machine allows you to play more lines per hour. Basically the same as if you played 5 1-line $1 machines simultaneously. And who wants to try that.
