Glass Pool Sign is missing

The Lvr Journal is reporting that the Famous Glass Pool hotel sign is missing. Cranes were spotted working near it in early May.

The sign was made famous in many movies, and the Gaming Today weekly girl was photographed at the GP
for years.

Maybe the sign graveyard near Fremont took it, but didn't tell anyone.

If I was on the LV PD ,I would have put a lowjack inside it.

I miss the Skull sign that was at Treasure Island for years. Now the TI sign looks like a Cvs sign.
The Glass Pool sign is always in the back of the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. What are crooks going to do with the sign? Put it in their game room?

They may well have already sold it for scrap. Crooks around the Country are stealing things like air conditioner plumbing and manhole covers and whatever else they can to raise a little cash. They will even try to steal Electric Utility Transformers, . . . once. Or mistake power lines for telephone lines - Man Stealing Copper Electrocuted
