Golden Steer Steakhouse 50% off

Groupon has a 50% off coupon deal for the Golden Steer Steakhouse. It is located on Sahara, just west of the strip. Not a bad deal! Bob
I ate there last year. It was nothing special.
I don't agree. One of t.he better steak houses in town Love the waqy the waiters pour the water.I've had. some great meals at GS. Like the nice red leather booths that you are seated on. They haven't been around this log for no reason.
How does GS compare to the fancy steak house at Orleans?

Everyone has their own opinions. Coming from NYC, perhaps I set the bar higher than others do. MaOr perhaps I set it lower.Offhand, I can think of a half dozen places in Vegas I like better, but that doesn't mean everyone would. Some people may care more for decor and decorum, I care for outstanding steaks.
50% off coupons are nice, but restaurant.com often has 70% or more coupons if you time it right.

The biggest difference between a Groupon and a Restaurant.com voucher is the requirements associated with them. The groupon simply authorizes you $50 worth of food or alcohol for $25. The restaurant.com coupon normally requires a 2 entree purchase or a minimum amount purchase requirement (also sometimes an 18% tip is also part of the voucher).
I ate there a few years back. Talk about old school. Former Rat Pack hangout. I thought the Prime Rib was excellent. Vegas Food Critic John Curtas loves the place....and has made it a point to eat there at least twice a year since the early 80's.
