Good News From Utah

The National Security Agency's gigantic Utah Data Center at Bluffdale, UT is experiencing catastrophic electrical failures which have been destroying $hundreds-of-thousands of equipment, and have delayed the opening of the facility.

"Chronic electrical surges at the massive new data-storage facility central to the National Security Agency's spying operation have destroyed hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of machinery and delayed the center's opening for a year.
There have been 10 meltdowns in the past 13 months that have prevented the NSA from using computers at its new Utah data-storage center, slated to be the spy agency's largest."

DonDiego is pleased to note the delay in data collection, as it may well include sufficient data points so as to establish DonDiego's habits, preferences, and minor idiosyncrasies, . . . thereby encouraging the NSA investigators to become suspicious and, perhaps, intrusive.
Sufficient delay may permit DonDiego to take up residence in a peaceful agricultural community in the Oriental Republic of Uruguay so he may live out his days in comfort and serenity.
Didn't realize Uruguay was in the orient DD.
Me neither although we've thought Chile might be a nice place to go later on, that's still in S America isn't it?

The "Oriental Republic of Uruguay" is the official name, if you want to get all Cliff Clavin about it. By modern standards, there is very little that is "Oriental" about Uruguay.

Kind of like the "Grand" in Grand Old Party.

Hmm..learn something new everyday.Thx for clarifying that Forkie.

Uruguay? Thats one of the scariest places on the planet. their government provides healthcare to the people as a service. how can anyone be truly free in such a place?

I think forky was attempting to avoid a wall of text explanation of the "official" name. I hope it works.

The gentle swipe at the GOP was just a bonus.
