Good Place To Play Video Poker With Good Paytables

We are "die hard" vp players mostly at the dollar level. We always play at Green Valley, and out of the last 12 times, only once did we not hit a big jackpot. We are Chairmans there and have full rfb and love love love the place and people, but after 12 times, I want to go somewhere else, at least once. We do kick it up to $5.00 at night if we are up. Where do you guys like playing the most? I always loved the Peppermill in Reno, but we were just quarter players last time we were there and never hit anything big.
Thanks!
If you are playing at the $5 level good schedules should not be hard to find.

I'm a downtown player mostly.

I've always loved El Cortez for VP because they have good schedules and promotions: multiple point days, sometimes give points for VP at the same rate as slots. I've never hit a royal there (or anywhere for that matter).

As of my last trip I'm beginning to give alot more play to the "D". Progressive VP at the upstairs bar is frequently over 100% payback. its the best bartop VP I've found in town.

Otherwise I like to hit Boulder Station...just cause I kinda like it for some reason
I play JoB - Four Queens, Main St Station. LVH (Sportsbook). Also Aquarius Laughlin.
LVH have the best rooms.
Red Rock would be a place you should definitely check out - if you haven't already!!

Gold Coast has 9/6 JOB machines. I like it there at the back bar.
Thanks guys! Guess I shoulda mentioned that we live in Austin, so paroozing the strip and downtown is almost NOT an option for us since we don't rent a car. We love gambling at the bartops (better drinks, get to know the bartenders, hit jackpots, etc. blah blah blah). Maybe that ads a little more to my question.
Wish I could upload my win at GVR this past week, but I can't figure out how to "attach" a photo to this.
I love the Peppermill in Reno too and had great luck there a couple years ago playing $1 and $2 VP at the cube bar. I hit a ton of 4oaks and Royals and came home up $25k.

In Vegas I love Gustav's bar at Paris, but the paytables are only 8/5 at the $1 level. I've had good luck on those machines and have come home up $$ the past 5 trips. I love the bartenders there and they get a special bottle of pinot grigio for me, but I also tip them well.

Behind Gustav's there's a set of $1 progressive DDB's, on the floor, which have a 9/6 paytable.
South Point has $2 NSU at a bartop, and with a .3 slot club, that makes it a 100% game 24/7. For higher stakes NSU, they have nickle 50 play. And if you can arrange to be their over most holidays, double points will give you a 0.3% advantage with perfect play. And they have more 99%+ games than anyone, including 9/6 JoB.

But if I were going to spend my entire vacation at one spot, I'd still choose GVR or Red Rock over South Point. To me, GVR and Red Rock are resorts, while South Point feels like a very nice locals place.
ooohhhhh thanks so much for saying that about the Peppermill! My husband is such stick in the mud about leaving Vegas, so I can't wait to read him your comments. But....also, thanks everyone else for all the other suggestions. Wish we could like Red Rock, but just didn't. Their High Limit was $2.00 $5.00. That's a little steep to start out playing. We had GVR take us all the way over there and we spent about 2 hours there and called them to come get us. Seems like a "younger" crowd there, and we are 56-60+. I'm not "sayin." However, if the machines pay you there, we may have to reconsider.

1. The Strip isn't going to offer you "Good Paytables" anyway.

2. I would think if you "do kick it up to $5.00 at night if we are up", a cab or bus fare shouldn't be that costly to you to go Downtown.

3. Try The Orleans, it's where I stay and play.
