Goodbye, adieu, adios, cheerio, ciao, toodle-oo….our swan song

DonDiego has been banned from LVA. He tried to start a thread yesterday and received the "You've been banned" message when he tried to post. (He tried to private message a few people to let them know and was not allowed to do that either.)

To quote DonDiego...."who'da thunk it?"

Plus, since we share the same IP address, I (teechur…the goody-two-shoes of LVA) have also been banned for “political posts”…..obviously, the forum programming thinks we are the same person. I am only being able to make this post because I am sitting in a Starbucks using their IP routing…

I was a little surprised in that he didn't receive a "Knock it off" warning message from LVA bosses first, but he (and a lot of others) have been naughty. Oh, well, it's their forum. My concern is...will he use those extra hours of each day to pester me or get into other mischief???? It ain't gonna be pretty!

Memory Lane Trip…. I remember first posting on LVA 10 years ago (dates show up wrong under our avatars due to various LVA reprogramming over the years). During that time, we have had lots of discussions, shared our love of blackjack and the NFL with others here, have been to 6 different LVA “Meets” in Las Vegas, have shaken Anthony Curtis' hand during a LVHilton blackjack tournament we were in with him, had our Stratosphere wedding shown on the internet with LVAers watching in and just other good memories of the people we have met/conversed with here on LVA. Thanks for the memories….it’s been an interesting 10 years.

And, on that note….GO CARDINALS! GO EAGLES!

When did he get the "Banned" message?? Over the weekend?? I would get in touch with the powers that be and see what the problem was. Maybe they will change their mind.

Well isn't that a real kick in the ass!, UNBELIEVEABLE!, as has already been pointed out, don diego and teechur are institutions around here, banning them is just relly..well..F'd up! in a huge way.

I would really hope the powers that be would reconsider as there contributions to the LVA have been many and banning them is FLAT OUT WRONG.

This is beyond ridiculous. Although I rarely, if ever, agreed with DD's political views that is what makes this country great.

This forum seems to be circling the drain compared to its' heyday a couple of years back. Now I come on here and read this.

Teechur I am genuinely sorry to read this news. I do hope the moderator realizes the graveness of his decision.
