A little pre-history here....Lady friend and I have not been frequenting the casinos as often as we had been in the past.
Partly because we've been investing in other things, and also, because my lunch runs have not been too profitable in a long while.
I had some FSP this past Saturday, so we went to the Silverton to try our luck. We took 200 bucks with us, and we had a combined 75 bucks in FSP. 50 for me and 25 for her.
We started the day at the H/L area, and she played some 4-card keno, while I played some bonus poker. She lost a 20 and her FSP, while I ended up hitting quad kings, and quad sixes and cashed out 200 bucks, with my 20 and my FSP.
We went back in, and this time, I put in 100 bucks, and played DDB, while she did the same on her machine. This time, I picked up quad fours/no kicker, for 400 bucks, followed 2 hands later by quad sixes for 250 more. I played down to 600 bucks and cashed out! A great start, for me, so far.
We went back in for 100 each and she played BP, while I played DDB again. We both lost.
I decided to try my luck on some regular single card keno on the $1 denom. LF did the same, we both went in for 20 bucks and played a 3-spot for one coin at a time.
Lady friend went on a tear, she hit a 3-spot, bumped up to 4 coins, and hit the same 3-spot again for 184 more bucks. She did this twice!!
I did it once with my set of 3 numbers and cashed out 200 bucks.
She was afraid of giving it all back, so she suggested that we leave. I slipped 100 in to my quarter 10 play machine, before we bailed, and lost it quickly.
Leaving would be the right thing to do...we walked in with 200 bucks and FSP, and are walking out with just under 1000 bucks!
We went home and I gave momma Rizzo her 100 bucks. She was happy! It had been a while since I had given her any money from winnings!
The next day, which was yesterday, I had FSP at the M-resort. Lady friend did not feel up to the challenge, and asked me to go with out her. I said fine...I'll go it alone!
I ended up taking all of our Silverton winnings with me, but I promised to only spend 200 bucks of it, plus my FSP.
On the drive there, I kept thinking of what machines I wanted to play. I recalled this 10-play machine, in the center area, near the Babycakes bakery. It had been really good to me, once, and I thought to myself that this is the machine, I was going to invest 100 bucks and dump my FSP on.
When I pulled into the parking lot, I was just hoping that this machine was going to be vacant, so I could play it. Sure enough, it was!
I sat right down, slipped a hundy into it, and dumped my FSP. The game was 10-play, DDB, on the quarter level.
About 3 hands into this session, I get dealt three deuces. I picked up 2 quads both with out kicker, for 100 bucks each! Not too shabby. I was up over 300 bucks now, I just made 200 profit. I decided to play down to 300 and cash out, then I ended up getting quad aces no kicker, on a two ace hold for another 200 bucks! Now I am at 500 bones! Hell of a start!!
I cashed out the 500 and went on a walk-a-bout! I peeked into the H/L area to see what the progressive was at, on the bank that LF and I love to play. We always play 60-100 bucks each on this bank of progressives, each and every visit we make to the M-resort. We still haven't hit that elusive progressive royal!
We've seen the jackpot up as high $7200, and as low as $4090, and I've actually been there to see some one hit it once! This time the jackpot was at 6800 bucks. Impressive! Most of the seats were taken, so I went off to find a good keno machine somewhere.
I found a spot, and played 20 bucks plus LF's FSP, and played a little quarter four card keno. No luck on this machine. It wiped me out quick!
So then I head to the H/L area again, and I see that my bank of $1 ten plays are open. I usually play one coin per line on these machines, and boost it up, as I start hitting. I did pretty good, on my 100 bucks, I hit quad 3's with kicker for 160 bucks, and a dealt full house that got my credits up over 300 bucks! (CASH OUT)
I noticed my bank of progressives were open, I sat in my usual seat and started playing off 100 bucks! Damnit...twice I came really close to hitting that damn royal! Once time it was a dealt 4-to the royal in clubs, and I missed it.
The other time, was a 3 to the royal in diamonds, and I hit one, but missed the other! Sheeesh
Luckily, I was able to come back from the dead after I was already down to 10 coins left, with a quad kings hit for 125 bucks! I was playing Bonus Poker. Shortly after that, I hit quad 10's for another 125 bucks and I cashed out 200 bucks.
I went back to my ten play and lost 100, then I tried the $5 Wheel of Fortune, and that thing screwed me over! 100 bucks in this damn thing, I couldn't get one single pay off! No cherry, no any bars, and definitley no spin symbol!!
I took a bit of a beating there, and I figured it was time to go home with what profit, I had left. I did a quick tally, of the cash on hand, and decided it would be worth it to go ONE more time, on that bank of progressives!
I said to myself, "This time, forget Bonus Poker, go for the quad pay offs on DDB!"
Well, I slipped 100 bucks into this thing, and started playing. I was getting some nice hits. full house, straight, a couple of three of a kinds...
Then I get dealt some obscure crap hand...it had to be 2-7-8-3-10 or something, so I held nothing, and just hit the deal/Draw button...
JACKPOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CALL ATTENDANT!!!
RIZZO JUST HIT THE FUCKIN PROGRESSIVE!!!!!!!!
WOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!
I couldn't believe what had just happened!! That was the LAST thing I was expecing to see!!
FIVE ROYAL CARDS in HEARTS!! All five of them came out in a row on the DRAW!! I'd never had that happen to me before! I was about to shit myself!!
I looked at the screen and looked to see what the progressive amount got up to.....
Six thousand, nine hundred, and eighty-one dollars!! HELLL YEAAAH BABY!!!!
I had NOTHING TO HOLD, and I hit the progressive Royal!!

Thankfully, I have my new phone, and I was able to snap a picture of the winning hand! Lady friend was NOT with me, so if I would have still had the old phone, I would not have been able to share the picture with you all!
The slot attendants were very nice, they came right away, took my info, and went off to get my cash!
I snapped the pic, and immediatley called Lady friend and said "GUESS WHAT BABY!!?? I finally hit that progressive at the M-resort!! WOOO HOOOO!!"
She couldn't believe it, hell I still can't believe it. It was my 3rd $1 Royal hit, but my largest single video poker hit of my life, and my first ever $1 progressive!
After they paid me, I tipped them, and they reset the machine. I played off my remaining credits, and had to calm down!
I played another 100 on a $1 ten play, but lost, and that was it...I just had to get out of there and go visit my cheering section! Lady friend and momma Rizzo were all smiles when I got home.
We've got BIG plans with this money!
