Governor Pence finally did it (POL)

Congress needs to pass a symbolic law that encourages people to 'walk a mile' in their sandals. Yes that's right. I'm suggesting a National 'Gay for a Day Day'. Who's wiffed me?

Sure - why not. I've seen Congress do worse things and I suspect the bill would be short enough for most of them to read it.

Umm, . . . exactly what, . . . umm, . . . activities, does being "gay for a day" comprise? And, . . . umm, . . . can these activities be done behind, . . . closed doors, so to speak?

Aside from the above, . . .umm, . . . concerns, . . . DonDiego is apprehensive that passage of "symbolic laws" to encourage such mind-opening, umm, . . . behaviors could lead to some curious experiences, but also some unpleasantness.

National "Drunk for a Day" Day would be interesting, . . . especially for folks like machinists and high-steel iron-workers. And DonDiego might find National "Muslim for a Day" Day exotic. And National "High on Crack for a Day" Day would pr'bly be instructive too.

But fr'instance, poor old DonDiego would refuse to participate in National "Far-Left for a Day" Day. There are some things DonDiego simply will not do.
I suspect that.....Oh, Wait!...Morning number one in Vegas, and I'm posting here? Off to the strip for an attitude adjustment.
One sandal and one brogan. That way, no one (or everyone) will be offended

..what....."activities, does being "gay for a day" comprise?". ALL the standard activities....high fashion, singing show tunes, flamboyance, shopping....you name it. And behind closed doors 'so to speak', there is interior decorating.

Cool, . . . just be sure to wear socks with the sandal.

Whenever forky makes a post you can be sure he is only posting at best half the facts.

From the Washington Post

The foreign policy spokesman came under fire for some crude (and since deleted) tweets about various prominent women. He also drew criticism from some social conservatives for being openly gay.

But he had a reputation as a polarizing figure among press who worked with him in the past, with some U.N. reporters describing Grenell as overbearing and untrustworthy.

After he was hired by Romney and drew scrutiny for some of his past comments about Callista Gingrich and Michelle Obama, among others

“Ric was essentially hounded by the far right and far left,” said Log Cabin Republicans Executive Director R. Clarke Cooper
The mountain of corporations that are speaking out against the corrupt Republican Pence is growing by leaps and bounds.

When a corporation such as NASCAR, which is probably the most far right Republican as you can get when it comes to a sports organization, issues a statement AGAINST a far right Republican such as Pence and his band of merry lawmakers, then you know you have gone too far.

NASCAR Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer Brett Jewkes: "NASCAR is disappointed by the recent legislation passed in Indiana. We will not embrace nor participate in exclusion or intolerance. We are committed to diversity and inclusion within our sport and therefore will continue to welcome all competitors and fans at our events in the state of Indiana and anywhere else we race."

Perhaps Gov Pence will do the right thing and step down as chief hatemaker of Indiana. But I doubt that. The next few weeks will involve damage control and putting a positive spin on the situation by enlisting the Koch Bros, AM radio fearmongers, and the team over at Faux Entertainment Channel.

I do think he has ruined his chances at climbing in the clown car for a 2016 shot at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Plus, that car is already chock full of idiots, criminals, and haters.

Does DonDiego spend a lot of time thinking about that question?
