Governor Pence finally did it (POL)

Conservatives won't be driving business away, but possibly the intolerant Left will. Intolerant Left...........that's redundant.

Boilerman is not correct.

- A 50 million dollar convention is threatening to leave. Downtown hotels/restaurants/shops have noticed...and they're pissed
- a 40 million dollar corporate expansion has been cancelled. I suspect job seekers and construction companies have noticed

Boilerman may be blind to the economic impacted created by Indiana Republican legislation....but I promise you local businesses are not.

Thank you for the vote of confidence, but it's really not necessary.

seriously people, the governer signed off on this when it came to his desk after being passed by a majority. in other words, voting with his constituents. he didn't write the bill. the uproar came way too late. I am as opened minded as anyone, and I am not crazy about this law but it is wrong to blame it all on the gubna. using the wedding cake for gays example.... who would want a cake made for them by someone that does not want to make them a cake? I sure in the heck wouldn't.

Heckfire !
If DonDiego lived in Indiana - which he does not - and possessed any confectionary talents or baker's skills - which unfortunately he also does not - he'd be acquiring a lisp and catering to the sweetmeat requirements of the Gay Community in the Hoosier State.
He understands Gay Folk spend lavishly on such scrumptious delectables for their celebratory events.

[If anything poor old DonDiego has stated herein is now stereotypical and/or offensive he apologizes, . . . especially for the lisp remark.]

I find it interesting how Liberals, who demand tolerance, are so intolerant of the civil rights of those those possessing views different from themselves.

Liberals like the Republican mayor of Indianapolis? He's probably just good at basic economics and realizes a 40 million dollar investment in his city is better than ....not having a 40 million dollar investment in his city.

Funny how the party that claims to champion the principals of business and capitalism is scaring off massive investment and conventions in the state. Revenue takes a back seat to protecting a bigot's right to discriminate. Just like at the Federal level - Republicans ruin the economy and Democrats clean it up.

so why are so many cities led by democrats facing bankruptcy?

It’s difficult to be precise, but I’d estimate there are more that doth bloweth hot air than weareth sandals.

DonDiego doesn't often wear sandals, . . . but when he does he also wears socks, as the Romans did 2000 years ago.

"Rust on a nail from a Roman sandal found in newly discovered ruins in North Yorkshire appears to contain fibres which could suggest that a sock-type garment was being worn.
Blaise Vyner, an archaeologist heading the cultural heritage team on site, said: 'You don't imagine Romans in socks but I am sure they would have been pretty keen to get hold of some as soon as autumn came along.' "
