Grade your NFL teams draft

Overall I'd give my Detroit Lions a - " B "

Getting Nick Fairley to play along with Suh should give the Lions a great D-Line. Our second round pick out of Boise St. (Titus Young) is a good kick returner and hopefully will be a solid #3 WR after Calvin Johnson and Nate Burleson.

If we can get to 8-8 it would feel like winning a Super Bowl after the recent years we have endured. I just hope there is a full NFL season.
DonDiego'd give his Eagles a gentleman's B.
They addressed their needs pretty well. DonDiego opines if this were a regular year they'd've been wheeling and dealing a lot more with the flexibility of so many picks and Kevin Kolb likely in demand.
The second pick might've been a stretch, . . . a local DB out of Temple; maybe they know something no one else knows. And the Kicker in Round 4 was a surprise.

DonDiego expects them to be very active in free-agency, . . . if-and-when there is free agency.

It looks to DonDiego like the NFC South is gonna get stronger, . . . the Falcons, Buccaneers, and Saints all likely to be improved.

I don't follow college football all that much so I have to listen to the usual suspects, but it appears the giants had a damn good draft. Both their first two picks should have gone much higher and their WR choice is being touted as a potential Wild Cat formation star.

I think your Lions had the best draft or they are at least in the top three. I think the Lions will be a wildcard team this year, assuming no bad injuries to key players. That would be pretty impressive considering how bad they were just three years ago.

Bill- good luck with Marvin Austin aka Tits McGee. He's lazy, shady, and never ever lived up to his hype. He has the skillset to be good but I predict he'll be out of the league within three years.
Roulette Man, I hope you are right but I'd honestly be thrilled with an 8-8 year. It doesn't take much to get a Lion fan happy. We need Stafford to stay healthy though or we'll need another QB in the 2012 draft.
Dolphins - D minus minus.

Would have been a big fat F but they got a decent OL from Florida in the 1st round..
I'm not sure about my bungles. The WR they picked up in the first round was expected, but I have no clue about the others they picked up. Their picks were all over the place instead of specializing in one area or another.

Could be. I've never heard of him, but the local pundits are calling him a great choice.

I'm in same camp,I don't follow college ball and all i know about the steelers picks is what i read about them after the fact.
I do know what positions i think need addressed for the team and what they actually picked.

I was really surprised they didn't pick more than than one O lineman and that wasn't til 6th rd. YIKES!,that area really needs help, how we got to the super bowl with the ragtag line is beyond me. The only reason they did was because of ben r's scrambling ability and size, tough sob to bring down. Instead they went defense with cam heyward for 1st pick, hopefully a good fit for the steelers 3-4, zone blitz packages they invented and are the best at. @nd pick was stocking the rush as well with a 'tweener' OLB.To small to be and end and to big to be OLB,typical and perfect for steeler defensive style. Added a few more corners and an RB. We absolutely could use another good corner as only decent one we have is ike taylor and he's a free agent. Then picked a RB,i didnt get this at all.

So overall,I have no clue whatsoever about any of these guys actual abilitys or who they are (besides heywerd,he's craig"ironhead"heywards son),only the positions they play and what i read about them.

The steelers seem to always hit or miss on their early picks and always seem to find gems in the mid to later rds. We'll see how this class turns out.

My grade for the steelers, and basing this ONLY on what i think they needed as opposed to who these guys actually are is a solid D. Getting a coupla corners late was good, not getting any help on O line huge mistake.
