Graveyard Eats Downtown

What's the best place to eat downtown after midnight? Who has good graveyard specials?
The selections are much more limited than they used to be due to several diners closing.

Currently, I'd vote for the Market Street Cafe at the California. They have the Prime Rib special available 24 hours. Very large menu with good food at reasonable prices. Its always packed - even at 3 AM

Only place I've eaten graveyard downtown is Magnolia's at the 4Queens and its been great. El Cortez has expanded its graveyard menu but it's not as extensive as regular hours.
I enjoy Binion's cafe, the burger and potato salad for 4.95 is hard to beat.

there really arent all that many choices, let alone good ones.

the california coffee shop is good and cheap but the lines can be insane, even at 3:00 am, as posted in this thread.

fitzgeralds does have good specials but i know they arent 24 hours and i dont know what time they close.

I think the Gold Spike has a 24 hr cafe as well. I will be trying it out in July!

They closed at midnight when I was there in January. Binions coffee shop use to have good graveyard specials but they are no longer 24 hours. Coffee shop at Golden Gate also had good specials, but is no longer there. I like Magnolias now for graveyard specials.

binions used to have the best late night specials.

they have the cafe thats 24 hours but i just didnt like ANY breakfast i got there. lunch and dinner items were good though.
The Cal-hands down.

agreed, there aren't as many 24 hr places open nowadays. I used to like that upper deck restaurant in the vegas club (although service was kind of slow, lol). but that place has been closed for a few years. I remember their t bone special, so big I couldn't eat the whole thing.

I also like the market st. cafe at the cal. their lines are long depending on when flights arrive from hawaii (many people who frequent the restaurant are from hawaii). There is a hawaiian airline flight that arrives near midnight so you have hawaii people going to the restaurant when they arrive. the boyd charter company vacations hawaii also has a flight that arrives in the evening so you have that group with their meal coupons in the line to the restaurant.

For me since I usually am alone I just walk up to the counter area and eat there. Sometimes it is busy but a lot of the times I don't have to wait long to sit at the counter. Once or twice I went in and ate at the counter and left before some of the people in line got a table.

The 777 restaurant at the MSS might also be open late, I know when the market st. cafe is closed for cleaning (they close one night a week, was it tuesday? but then the pasta pirate and the 777 are open to make up for the closure).
