Great Prank!

A friend of the family had his girlfriend do the "for him" on April fools day:

She posted flyers around Chicago to get strangers to call him with their best impression of Chewbacca, a character from the classic George Lucas saga.

She left instructions on the flyers and posted them around the city, but they quickly made their way to social media.
?Step 1: Call the number
?Step 2: Do your best Chewbacca impression
?Step 3: Hang up

At first he had no clue what was happening. He was getting "monkey calls" at all hours of the day and night from "unknown" numbers. Yesterday, he was up to 50 missed calls - and most of them left voice mail messages.

Who would you do this too?

What's the number? Everyone tells me I sound just like a Wookiee.
Love this idea! I need to do it to someone!
Seems to me the "girlfriend" may just be looking for a new "boyfriend".

IMHO, this was much too mean and vindictive to be considered a "prank", something is definitely wrong with that relationship if she intentionally wanted to annoy her "boyfriend" that much. Also curious whether she removed the flyers after the day was over, or announced on the flyer it is a one day prank between the hours of xx - yy. Certainly the calls lasted more than the one day of "Aprils Fool".

May as well place an ad on Craigs List advertising FREE kittens or puppies, before 10 am, or they will be killed, cooked, and served for lunch to the homeless. Please call to reserve them, live or curried. 555-555-1212

I certainly wouldn't do this prank to anyone I liked.

A few years ago my daughter scribbled my phone number on a fence at Six Flags and wrote "Call for a good time". Two people called me that day before I sent my daughter back to the fence to make my phone number illegible. One guy and one gal called. They were both told a good time from me was not in their future. The guy said "sorry" and hung up. The gal was a bit less rebuffed and tried harder to get herself a good time.

Great story.

"Is your refrigerator running? You'd better catch it." Hang up.
"Do you have Prince Albert in a can? You'd better let him out." Hang up.

We thought this was so hilarious...5th, 6th grade, two, maybe three calls.

But, posting flyers around Chicago? A little over the top.
