Greatest Country Song Ever

"Music does that to you Sue"

And that reminds me of another song I always liked -- "The Song Remembers When," by Trisha Yearwood.

BTW, I heard a great, funny oldie on the radio the other day -- "May the Bird of Paradise Fly Up Your Nose," by Little Jimmy Dickens. I saw him the 3 times I went to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville years ago.
If I had to pick 1 song it would be Patsy Clines Crazy. Anything by Johnny Cash.
So many of the old guard that I also would consider greats.
While I like some of the new stuff it's more like crossover music then true country in my opinion.
Exactly. And I can't believe I forgot about Johnny Cash! "Folsom Prison Blues" is a classic. Also Merle Haggard, another great one. There are just too many to mention, lol.

One of my favorite country song titles is; "I Love You So Much It Hurt's Me". I am sure there are others, anyone care to list their favorite C/W song title?

I'm not much of a C/W fan myself but only one i can think of right now that i used to crank up on occasion,
Hank jr "country boy can survive".
I lived with my older brother a few summers and his hank jr greatest hits album got played alot.

Stand by your Man- Tammy Wynette
Family Tradition- Hank Williams Jr.
You Don't Even Call Me by My Name- David Allen Coe
Kiss an Angel Good Morning- Charley Pride
He Stopped Loving Her Today- George Jones
Coal Miners Daughter- Loretta Lynn
Amarillo by Morning-George Strait (or just about anything else from George!)
Chasing that Neon Rainbow - Alan Jackson
These are just some of my favorites. I could list many more. I really don't care for a lot of the country music that's been coming out lately. It's too much like pop music.

I Will Always Love You - by Dolly

That's a great one, Jake. Written by Kris Kristofferson.
