Grilled cedar-plank salmon

How about fresh (non-farmed) salmon?

Well homer, some of us growing up could not afford fresh salmon, so we went to the caned stuff. Some folks forget that there are people that don't make much money and have to use some of those prepackaged products.

So, Tony, I gotta ask, why do you call Rou "homer"?

As I said elsewhere, there are plenty of applications where canned makes sense. And some products excel being packaged. Fish cans well, for instance. But if using canned then the technique and end-result need to change, of course.

I'm not often locked into "I must have X." I start my excursion with what's fresh and better yet, on sale. Then build from there.
I've called many folks homer, and there is no reason to it. There is no insult inferred nor intended, if one thinks they are being
insulted by it, then I'm sorry.

I look at what I want and can afford or what's easy to make if I don't have time spend on cooking.

Too bad. There's soooo much more than salmon.

Sure.
I think 'Homer' was ken's pet name for Roulette Man...because of RM's tendencies to tow the USC party line. What a coincidence that chef calls RM 'Homer' too...although he apparanetly calls people 'Homer' randomly...like 'Bud' or 'Sport'. I don't call anyone Homer....except my weird uncle Clarissa.

You can add the name of "Bubba" to that list. No offense is taken on the name of "Homer".
While I was in Vegas in January, I had bamboo Mahi Mahi on consecutive nights at the M-Resorts buffet. Don't recall the nights( think it was Friday- Saturday). It was served on the bamboo wood it was cooked on and was awesome.

I've never heard of bamboo being used, but I have seen where fish is wrapped in leaves. I love Mahi Mahi.

But if someone cooks salmon the wrong way, look out for the riots!
