Group High Limit Pull

At the Coushatta Meet and Greet in August, sponsored by Slot Fanatics, we are having a high limit pull... everyone that wants to participate will put in $20 or $30 or so and we will all go to a higher price machine $5 to $25... and as a group spend the money... hoping we can hit something big and share it. The only time I have ever done this was many years ago... when only 7 of us put in $20... we played and when we got to $1600, we each took $200 and played the rest, but got nothing more.
---
Have you ever participated in one of these... do you usually win or lose... have any of you ever hit it really big on one of these... Just curious????
Our group has done this many times and we have never hit anything big.
Keep in mind the person who hits the button will be the one who has to claim the winnings.(if any)

When teechur and DonDiego splurge on an investment into the Mega-Bucks machine, they both hit-the-button/pull-the-handle together, . . . so as to prevent teechur from engaging in any subsequent mischief regarding the jackpot.

It looks like that 5 Cent Wheel Of Fortune Special Edition is due to hit soon. It's been over 30 months...the longest stretch ever between hits. Too bad they don't actually take nickels or I'd invest my substantial nickel hoard in it. It's almost a sure thing.

Sis, GF and I were walking through Cosmo when GF says "I have a feeling about this machine". It was a $1 slot of some kind so we each put in $10, pushed the max button and in about three tries we hit for $350. Yea!
Many times over the years we have had group tries for the high limit slots. Anywhere from 4 people up to 12 people with no luck. Hit a few small jackpots, made a lot of noise, but kept going and lost it all. Many years ago my husband and son-in-law were playing a slot together $1, and hit for $ 9,000. Nice !
Many years ago, when Caesars used to have a buffet in the "small dome room" for its high limit slots, my GF and another couple wanted to go in there and pick up some "desserts" from the buffet. So we strolled over to a $100 slot machine and me and the other guy each put up $50 and we did one pull. (It was a two coin machine, so we did it on the cheap)... and hit nothing.

But then we sat around and rubbed elbows with the high level players and enjoyed the buffet and dessert bar, had coffee, great pastries, talked to the other people who did the same thing as us, people watched, looked at the $500 slot machines and discussed how we were doing on the 25-cent red-white-blue machines...

ah yes, the old days.
Need to make it clear about the puller getting a bigger slice of the Jackpot and taxes that go along with it.
As a casino whore, while "Silver Mining", I play off the credits I find on machines. I've "found" $152 on a $100 machine, so added $48 and took two spins. Did not hit anything, would have been thrilled with a cherry or two. Also have found $25.00 machines with a credit or two and always rounded up to pull those for a spin or so. Again, no luck, and often have thought "Next time, I'll just print the cash out ticket instead."

I figure the house has a 10% advantage (or more) on those machines, so if I "find" something that gives me more than a 10% discount, than my EV is positive and well worth the risk.

Oh well.
