Grudge Match - the New Movie

Saw a screening of the De Niro/Stallone movie Grudge Match tonight.

I wasn't impressed, I would wait for the DVD. It kind of dragged along with a few funny spots.

If you do see it in the theater, don't leave when the credits start there's two shorts inserted between the credits. Opens Christmas Day.

The grandson has most of the best lines.
I'm to lazy to look it up myself. Is it related to the Rocky movies?
DonDiego loves looking stuff up.

Grudge Match
It's not related to the Rocky movies but there are several scenes that go back to the way Rocky trained. I think they were supposed to be funny, but I'm not sure they worked that way.

Thanks guys.

Being semi-retired I no longer have a staff but I do have my LVA research department:-)
Here's what IMDB has to say:

"A pair of aging boxing rivals are coaxed out of retirement to fight one final bout -- 30 years after their last match. "

The each won one fight thirty years ago and De Niro wants a third to determine the best fighter. Stallone not so much.
I'd rather see a real boxing match between the two of them.
If you want to see DeNiro and Stallone together in a movie, am guessing that 'Copland' is a better choice.
