Col Wilma Deering on an episode of Buck Rogers on channel 997 for those of you in the Ohio, and Indy areas. Other programming also includes Airwolf, Buck Rogers, and other 1980's shows.
Its funny, I watched a 1953 Buck Rogers movie today- Planet Outlaws, I believe. It was a movie made up of editing an older serial and the editing was horrendous. It seemed to have the same music as the Flash Gordon serials, and even useda few of the same sets. Prince Talon is talked about as being kidnapped, but they omit showing it. Buck and Wilma leave on a ship, but Buck, Buddy and Wilma get off the ship. I recently watched all three Flash gordon serials and liked them much better. Worst part of this movie was some narrator doing a wrap around piece talking about the red menace.

If DonDiego remembers correctly the most common recurring theme in the Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon motion pictures was excerpts from Les Preludes by Franz Liszt heard most commonly as background to scenes of spaceships in flight or combat. As a kid DonDiego loved that theme.
Here one may relive that theme in a modern recreation of the Buck Rogers rocket launch .
