Guns N' Roses at The Joint/Hard Rock

I will be in Las Vegas next week and I was mildly thinking of going to the Friday, November 9th show. Just wondering if anyone has seen any past shows and if it's worth shelling out $81 for a floor ticket. Also important is have the concerts started at or close to the posted start times or do they start excessively late as G N' R (actually Axl) has had a reputation in the past for going on 2 to 3 hours late.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanx.

Found some fan reviews here. Based on some of these I'm having slight second thoughts about spending $81 on this concert. Also I'm not real impressed with the setlist.

I like this review....he says it got better toward the end or maybe that was the beer....rotflmao

The opening band was horrible. Like so bad that people were booing and throwing ice. Personally I though the band itself was descent but they need a better singer. GNR was not bad but not the same as it use to be. The concert seemed to get better toward the end. Maybe it was the amount of beer I had or the amount of alcohol GNR may have had but it sounded better. The show was all in all good. Luckily we sprung for seats and did not try standing room only. So I enjoyed it more than those that stood. The concert ran from 10:30-3am. Lots of people left early but I think they missed the better parts towards the end.
FWIW, the people we sat with at the Tim Allen show on Saturday night had seen G&R on Friday. They were not very impressed. They said the show didn't start til 11:45, then ran for almost three hours. Axl's voice was not good, there were far too many extended solos and between song jams throughout the night and it was just too self indulgent for even the biggest fans there. More than half the crowd apparently left well before it ended. Oh, and Axl forgot the lyrics to "Sweet Child O' Mine" at one point.
