Had a great time in Vegas!

My Mom and I took a trip a trip to Vegas from 2/20-2/25 staying at the Four Queens. Flight was on time coming and going and had no problems with the hotel. While I did not hit any royals this trip we both hit many small jackpots along the way.

Some hightlights:

Cashed out 310 dollar win on 20 buck investment playing Keno at the Fremont first night. Special thanks to Frankie Rizzo and Lady Friend for getting me interested in Keno!

Monday hit two small jackpots at Sam's town for 250 bucks and getting two free jackets.

Mom hitting for 300 bucks on Sizzling Seven's dollar machines at Sam's.

Mom hitting for 697 bucks on 20 dollar investment of a Triple Star's quarter machine at the California.

Hitting fours aces(no kicker) on STP aka the crack machine at the Fremont.

Mom hitting a 1000 quarters on WoF at Fitzgeralds.

And my best one is after putting a 20 dollar bill in a Blazing Sevens machine at the Fremont I hit 3 red sevens and I cashed the ticket out for a hundred bucks. I put another 20 in and when I got down to 48 credits I hit the progressive for 390 bucks. They came and hand paid me and reset the machine. Three or for spins later hit I hit the sevens again and played it down to fifty bucks. I put forty bucks in and won 540 dollars! Sweet!

While I did not come out ahead I think I did very well considering I was there for 5 nights and six days and I gambled for a average of about 10 hours a day. And after all that I only spent 600 bucks.

Not bad considering a bought a bunch of stuff for my sister and coworkers as well.

Overall this was one of my best trips in a long while. Downtown was pretty busy so maybe things are looking up for Vegas as a whole. Did not spend much time on the Strip as I only went to the Mirage, Stratosphere and the casino formerly know as Barbary Coast. Was hoping to go to the Cosmo but I did not make it over there.

Gold Coast was really the only place that I did not do well. Those Wheel Poker machines kicked my ass.

Thanks for reading and good luck everyone on your next trip!

i appreciate that you didnt call it "bills" because "bills" is a stupid name and i refuse to call it that.

those wheel poker games = death. i once played tdb on them and got aces with a kicker (pays same as a royal) and of course, got to spin the wheel. i figure since i hit the holy grail, i dont need to play it ever again since it wont happen again. i hope one day you too get the holy grail and are able to resist all future play.

thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the report . I always enjoy one day downtown. It is a must do adventure for all Vegas visitors. I come from Boston . I always tell anybody that has at least 5 nites in Vegas . Make sure you make a trip to the Fremont Experience and be sure it is nightime.
I never have had any luck playing . Probaly drop $ 200 for every visit there . About 3 hours . Watch the light show and move on . It is well worth the entertainment.

Thanx again Loyd

Just got this clipping from an overseas newspaper article about Vegas. Good read.

Very nice Trip Report Loyd.

In May I intend to get revenge for you on those Wheel Poker machines at the GC.

Love the phrase "and the casino formerly know as Barbary Coast". I can't seem to call it B_ _ _'s myself.

Thanks for taking the time to write and share.

Nice T/R, thanks
Great report Loyd! Thats good stuff right there!

Congrats on the winners!

If you would have told me, you were going to play wheel poker at Gold Coast, I would have told you not to do it.

I've played those machines and they truly are money vaccums!

I have never, ever gotten a quad on those fuckers...I never play them anymore.

Thanks for sharing your report!

Enjoyed your report. Glad you & Mom had a super time. I am envious.

Going to be awhile before I get back there

Diane
Thanks everyone for the good reviews on my trip report. First time that I ever wrote one. Next trip will probably be in September. Since I did not spend my backroll I am going to save it for my next trip.

Will definitely never play those wheel poker machines again. I should have played those VP machines in the back of the casino that I won on the last time.
