I am overwhelmed by this!
Thanks to all of you. Having just turned 62, about the only thing "special" is that I can begin receiving Social Security...a mix of emotions there.
This summer is still completely up in the air...I even considered staying home this year, but you've inspired me to do SOMETHING. For sure, I won't be making my "circumference" of the United States this time around; however, that is absolutely in the cards sometime in the future...the notion of driving almost 30,000 miles is a little daunting right now.
I am considering hitting all the casinos in California and/or Arizona, much like my Hit-em-Nevada a couple of years ago. I enjoyed that one. I still have a couple more months to work that out.
Thanks again for the Birthday wishes. I spent the morning watching WEST WING (I'm re-watching all the episodes on Netflix...eight years of shows....it takes awhile) and the afternoon getting my oil changed (heading for Laughlin this weekend), and finally dinner with family at my mom's place (at 88, she still cooks up a mean pork roast).
