PJ and others, no response?

Wow, wow, wow! I believe the topic is about Presidents Day. Obama is a President. Obama was on a golf trip on President's day.

Now, what am I missing?

PJ, do you somehow believe your comments even remotely address Hoops issues with Presidents Day? He's talking apples and your talking...............dog shit.

I could tease you right now Boilerman...but instead I'll give you the opportunity to actually read Hoops comment and the day he cited...and then reflect how your last comment is ...well.... Embarrassing

Here's Hoops quote. Go ahead and fill me in, PJ.

"With Isis rampaging thru the Middle East Obama spent his weekend playing golf.

Interesting that the only American who gets a "day" is king, not even the person who founded the country or the person who kept it from collapsing or the person who guide us thru the most destructive war in the world.

Doesn't seem right"

Oh.... wow. I mean, really....WOW ! I just assumed you made an honest mistake in your original post and read something incorrectly. I've done the same thing in the past so I took it easy on you. But now...but now...WOW!

OK, Boilerman. I underlined the day Hoops referenced in his post that you later referred to as gripes about President's Day (see above) while ridiculing my "dog shit" remarks. Given your response its safe to presume that you either
(A) believe Martin Luther King was president
(B) believe Martin Luther King Day and Presidents Day are the same thing

I'll let you in on a little secret. Both (A) and (B) are false. But don't worry - I wouldn't be so vulgar as to classify your contribution to this thread as "dog shit". Perhaps "embarrassingly ignorant of basic facts" would be a kinder euphemism.

My response is simple, Boilerman....learn how to read, take a history lesson, or both. I'm afraid I can't help you with either. All I can do is point and laugh at your message board dysfunction.

Just for review:

A few years ago we went on vacation with the kids and grandkids in the minivan and one of the stops was Gettysburg. It is an awesome place to visit(my 3rd time). Our last stop at Gettysburg was at the National Cemetery and we stood near the spot where Lincoln gave the Gettysburg address. To think you can be near that spot and think of the history and our greatest president(IMHO). Sends shivers down your spine.

Lots of angry, white guys hated that president too. What a shame they didn't have an internet forum to vent on.
Before the internet, they used flyers. Like this one from Dallas, November 22, 1963.

yep and folks from the south at the time thought far less of Abe Lincoln in the 1860's. I believe they were members of YOUR party there Forkie....
Actually, I wasn't a member of the Democratic Party in the 1860's. And it's funny that you think you made a strong point.

I wasn't saying you were a member of the party back in 1860's there Forkie, however I was mentioning that YOUR party was more on the line of OWNING slaves. They were also the same party that had "issues" with LBJ and the Civil Rights act. (as in being against it), That same party had members that were aligned with some organization called the Klu Klux Klan. So please, what party is racist? By the way, in what year was the first black democrat elected to office? Hint, The first black Senator was a republican....
I agree. The party of white supremacists WAS the Democratic Party. Not any more, right?
Come on PJ, what am I missing. Hoops was obviously addressing the fact that Obama was on a golf trip on Presidents Day, and this fact appears to escape you.

I don't know Forkster, exactly what has the Democratic party done for the "poor" black folks? That war on poverty has been going on for almost 50 years and the percentage of blacks in the poor category hasn't changed. The great Obama hasn't done much to help the black community except to lower the standards to get welfare.

Wow chef, you just changed the subject from the one that you yourself brought up. Kind of wimpy, huh?

Back to YOUR point: Yes, JW Booth was a Democrat 150 years ago. And yes, the third ranking Republican member of the CURRENT House of Representatives attended a white supremacist meeting, and gave a speech to those lovely people. I could give lots of other examples of white supremacist speech from mainstream Republicans, but I bet you wouldn't like that.

No wonder you changed the subject.
