harrahs does more to hurt VP AP

Bob Dancer calls them Super Not So Ugly Deuces. But I like Tunica Deuces, or even Singer Deuces...as he claims to have convinced the Wynn to put them in a few years ago. (They didn't last long there though.)

Wish my area had them, as the best deuce game we have is Illinois Deuces (5K-SF at 15-9 instead of 16-10 or 15-11). Even 1.00% cashback doesn't get the game to +EV.
At least Harrah's still don't charge a "resort fee". These hotels are getting ridiculous for what they charge nowadays. The Silverton might be on the low side with a $12 charge. I don't get charged the fee, but it's annoying that they charge one. ST used to charge only a $1 a day for unlimited local phone calls. Wonder if they charge anything now. I'll let you know.

Good one Dan!!
CET believes their marketing ie Total Rewards is so great they can have terrible paying slots and VP. Cutting back on comps, cash back, slot dollars etc. is their normal course of action.

Karen wrote: "did your source actually use the term "Advantage Player"? because I find it really hard to believe that anyone with the company thinks that AP's actually play at their properties."

I used the term "AP" when writing the post. My contact and I were discussing other business when he told me about the change in comps for video poker play. We were discussing business and not gambling. Im sure he didnt even think I "caught" what he said as it was in passing while discussing another matter about ROI.

I should not have used the term AP... I should have just said "Harrahs hurts VP players some more." LOL

That's not my point. My point is that people will voluntarily sit down and play 91% machines, which tells HET that most people are unmitigated suckers. Hence the flourishing of 6-5 "blackjack", SP 21, Casino War, Caribbean Stud, etc., etc.

Melbedewy, don't ever tell anyone I said this but perhaps for the first time ever, I totally agree with you. LOL

CET's Total Rewards has its place for some players but certainly not for "AP's" or even mid level recreational level vp players who are ok with taking the worst of it.

I can't or don't blame them for what they've done and apparently continue to do. If people instinctively know what's happening and continue to give them play, Mr. Barnum is right on the money. Their money = their choice but don't bemoan the fact that you're getting less while at the same time you give them play. This will only serve to further deteriorate the offers; not improve them.

Dan
What I don't get is how does Jean Scott keep getting 7 star status year after year with the limited options in LV. How does she find a good play?
