harrahs does more to hurt VP AP

Dice influencing is not cheating... it's playing with an advantage. As is card counting in blackjack-- also playing with an advantage. What is "cheating" is defined by laws and regulations.

But what I can't understand is why the casinos tolerate advantage play with video poker???
Perhaps, because casinos offer the benefits? Perhaps when word gets out that an advantage player is no longer welcome, others stop playing at said casino?

Stores offer sales and frequently send coupons that give more off if one shops during a certain time period. The last time I took advantage of such sale, I bought a cocktail dress, 2 pair of jeans and a top at Macy's for $50.00. The original price of the dress was over $200. Is being an advantage video poker player any different?

For the record, I am not an advantage video poker player. However, one might say I am a 'smart' shopper.

Regardless of what the actual Law says, in the eyes of casino bosses, dice influencing or card counting is a form of cheating. In the casino mindset, regardless of what the law says or intends. And they are usually quick to "ban" players with the "skills" to offset the casino advantage. They "know" it's not cheating, but consider it so because you are attempting to "steal" their money by not playing the game fairly. They don't want the skillful player, they just want their "fair share" of all money wagered.

There are many "examples" of VP AA's being banned. Was it Jerry's Nugget that banned players during a promotion not long ago? And many casino's quietly "revoke" player club points for VP from known AA's, or remove the player from receiving mail offers, etc.

But there are many VP players who think that they know perfect strategy thus making them AA's, when in reality they are not. Coupled with the fact that casino's need and want bodies, they may decide to let someone "get away with it" because that person only takes a few dollars. They may prefer the extra "body" to give the illusion of being busier than they are. But that AA may not be receiving mail and offers that bring the other players in, so it probably is a "wash" for them.

Im familiar with AP for advantaged players. But what are AA's ? The only AA's that come to mind are American Airlines and Alcoholics Anonymous.

I mistyped by writing AA when I meant, and should have written "AP".

My message content should still have been clear, unless someone chooses to avoid responding to the content, and instead to find grammatical faults with my writing or spelling.

I take it that typing AA is something you do out of habit?
well I just read Jean's blog and saw nothing that said how she gets 7stars. the things she mentioned can mean more comps or cashback but not seven stars. they could mean a 100% play... but not seven stars

7stars comes from only one thing... coin in or table play

and there arent enuf of the promotions she mentions at these out of Vegas properties to make up for the lack of non pos ev VP games

even if she plays on the multiplier days, the multiplier days help her comps but not her tier score
If they find a good play at a Harrahs in some other area, such as Indiana or New Orleans, they can achieve 7 Stars easily, at the levels they play at. I'm assuming they both play on one card.
7 stars = $1,000,000 coin in playing Video Poker
7 stars = $500,000 coin in playing Slots
7 stars = $1 - $100,000 averaged wager at a table game, since you never really know how they are rating you and what it actually does to your tier score...

The Coin In is finite, you can't adjust for that...

But table games, I had bet 10 on the line and 54 across all night and was rated at a 700 average bet before... ummm... thats wrong but ill take it... what points I got from that? who knows...
Nope, I dont buy it, Sue. I get all the offers from all of the HET props because Im 7stars. and there are NO offers that will boost your coin in. all offers are for comp values.

now, if she wants to say that the extra comps make it worthwhile for her to play neg machines, well then that is what it is.

but she can't claim to find positive machnes that others would not know about.

rincon recently added some "full pay" machines but even these do not have positive pay tables. there is 9/6 ddb now and 8/5 bonus and some DW games and TBP games that are considered full pay but they wont satisfy the advantage players -- unless you are offsetting with the extra comps.

edited to add: there is ONE offer that will boost your tier score: for my birthday I got a match coupon that will match my tier score for one day up to 5,000 tier points. the day I used it I put on about 7,000 tier points, so I got the extra 5,000 tier points.
