At The Rio... I was playing VP and flirting with a cocktail waitress, was checking her legs out as she walked away... Security dude comes over and starts giving me a hard time, says he's right over there watching me. I just sit there with a 'Boner', turn around a start playing (video poker) until she comes around again to flirt somemore but don't eyeball her ass again.

There's always more to the story.

We go to Harrah's quite a bit and never saw any over zealous security.
In the 1950's thru the 80's, most of the casino security personnel were in uniform carrying holstered pistols...the vast majority of them were ex-military or ex-police. Starting in the 90's casinos began replacing experienced security personnel with unarmed, inexperienced staff. The prime reason for this was purely economic...The "security" folks you mostly see today have very poor, if any, training, and most are paid slightly more than minimum wage. The lack of professionalism has been clearly evident and the casinos could care less.

I agree, the casinos could care less about security than they currently do.

Part of the reason the casinos care as much as they do is because incidents like the 2002 River Run riot at Harrah's Laughlin, which cost Harrah's many millions due to their inadequate security response.

I had a former cop prepare to unholster his pistol on me while I was at work for a major pharmaceutical company. When I complained to management about it, they said this guy was a former cop for a reason and it was implied he was a little trigger happy. You don't need ex-military or ex-police to make sure drunks don't puke on the carpet and trespassers are removed from the premises.

You had a bad situation and that has clearly prejudiced your thinking about experienced ex-law enforncement security personnel...OK, that's your experience, sobeit......I'd rather see experienced personnel remove drunks and trespassers to avoid ugly scenes caused by untrained amateurs........This is not a subject to argue over but merely to express opinions.
