Harrah's - should I charge meals to my room

We are staying at Harrah's for 3 nights. We are just lowly minimum bet penny players and play some keno so I know I will not have enough "comps" to pay for meals . If we eat at some of the Harrah's restaurants should we just pay cash for our meals or charge to the room and pay at check out time. Just wondering if there is any advantage so that they can see we are giving them business besides gambling.
Let's put it this way, there is no advantage to paying cash as you go. If you don't travel to Vegas often, you might as well apply whatever comps you've earned against the final bill. You can do this the night before at registration and conveniently express check out on your TV in the morning.
We charge our meals to the room and sometimes we get mysterious promo resort credits added to our account. I have no idea if it's related but I know cash has no advantage.
If you use your comps as you go, they don't charge tax. If you charge the meal to your room, they do.

I learned the hard way that they don't charge tax only if you pay the entire bill in credits. I had $30 or $40 in taxes built into our tab when dining with friends a year ago at Old Homestead. When I inquired the server told me I was $1.08 short of covering the tab and so I was taxed on the bill in its entirety. That was a $40 cappuccino I consumed at end of night.

To your point, I agree that it's best to save your comps until you can pay in full, assuming your experience or credit card will prevent the points from expiring.
I found if you charge your meals to Snidelys account, they are free.
If you are a total rewards members and charge the meals to your room, you will receive reward credits for the charges. If you pay cash you might still get the reward credits if you show your total rewards card -- but you will have to ask.

I wish I had enough RCs to cover you.
If you add a "tip" to the bill that is charged to your room and, you plan on using comps to pay it if off, the comp will not pay for the "tip" part of the bill.
Harrahs gives you rewards on your slot club for all money spent at the resort: gambling, meals, entertainment, gift shop. It doesn't matter if you pay up front or charge it to your room...just make sure the final bill gets tagged to your slot card.

PS - If you are a low limit player dont expect too much from Harrahs.
