Has Obama bothered with visiting southern flood victims?

Exactly right Candy, nothing more than a photo op, BUT, appearences can hold a lot of meaning. As red said, Bush caught total hell for his treatment of Katrina meanwhile Obama is lounging in Martha's Vineyard while thousands of people are homeless and dying. Again appearances.

He called ahead and most golf courses are closed so he went north.

So far, last week's heavy rainfall has destroyed some 40,000 homes, which has displaced about 8,000 people. Thirteen people have died so far.

President Obama declared the floods a natural disaster on Sunday and redirected federal aid to help the state recover. Homeland Secretary Jeh Johnson is set to visit Baton Rouge on Thursday to review the ongoing response and recovery efforts in the area.

But some are questioning why the president is not showing up himself.

Baton Rouge's local newspaper, The Advocate, wrote an op-ed with one message to President Obama, a "hurting Louisiana needs you now."

Previous presidents have bypassed Louisiana after natural disasters. President George W. Bush was widely criticized after he flew over a flooded New Orleans in 2005. Democrats were especially critical.

Are liberals actually so amazingly stupid to not understand the liberal bias from the mainstream media?

Why is this so difficult to understand: The Michelle forbids The Obama from going, because He is on vacation.

"Michelle is very strict about me actually taking a vacation when I get a vacation," he said. "She gave me a special dispensation for this evening because she understands, just as all of you understand, how important this is."

So, . . . The Michelle grants "special dispensation" to The Obama to attend a political fundraiser for The Hillary. Presumedly The Obama is awaiting a dispensation to permit him to travel to Louisiana.
